This Naked Aria Will Make You Glad You’re Not A Castrato

Opera's a weird world. Despite what anyone outside of the performing arts thinks, there's very little crossover between theatre and opera, so as someone with a theatre degree, I know little to nothing about opera. What I do know, however, is that I've never seen anyone sing an aria in the nude... until today that is.

This lovely nude woman is Abigail Wright and she's singing her heart out, with her tits out, as well as her freshly shorn pubic area, or pubic aria as it were. Continuing to know nothing about opera, my best guess is that this is from Salome by Richard Strauss, mainly because when you google "nude opera" that seems to get the most hits and Shazam was no help. Seriously, I treated my co-workers to about sixty seconds of this trying desperately to get an answer and got nothing. 

So yeah, naked opera, it's a thing we can all enjoy I guess. And if not, there's always the mute button.
