Why Doesn’t The USA Have A Miss BumBum Contest?

The great American writer (and rapper) Sir Mix-A-Lot once declared that “I like big butts and I can’t lie”, and while some of us other brothers tried to deny, after checking out these pictures from The Miss BumBum contest, we must admit that we when we saw these women with an itty-bitty waist and a round thing in our face we got sprung.  

It should come as no surprise that The Miss BumBum contest happens in Brazil. This contest has been going on for many years. I don’t know if Miss BumBum is the Brazilian equivalent to Miss America, but I would surely tune into this contest before watching women with glue on bikinis strut around with Vaseline on their teeth.

I have the strangest feeling they don’t ask the The Miss BumBum contestants hard-hitting questions like, “what are your views on government-run health care.” Though, if they did ask the question and the contestants responded by shaking their asses, I believe they would be crowned the winner. As a bonus, some of the contestants flashed their giant boobs. One could argue that they are cheating, trying to get votes in favor of their boobs instead of their butts. I’m not sure what the official rules are, but one would think flashing boobs would be the icing on the cake in a competition about butts.  

American has a long tradition of taking things from other countries and making their own versions of them. I think it might be time for the U.S. to create the Miss Baby Got Back contest. I can think of one person who could be a judge.

Oh, and if you are curious, Indianara Carvalho, the one in the gold bikini, won Miss BumBum 2014.
