Fleshbot’s Thankful Five: Five Pornstars We’re Truly Grateful For

Normally we take this time to give you a break down of five hot scenes from one gorgeous girl (or woman, depending). But since it's that very thankful time of year, and we're feeling ever so grateful for the bounty of beautiful babes who make it their business to get busy on camera. Yes, there's a few special pornstars out there who we're feeling extra grateful for this year – and now's the time to let them know exactly how we feel.

We've finally recovered from yesterday's food coma, and while others are out risking their lives for some Black Friday sales, we're comfortably at home spending time with some of the ladies who've really made this year something special. Skin Diamond: We remember the days when Ms. Diamond (known then as simply Skin) was just a fetish model burning up the internet with her super sexy photos. Who could have guessed that she'd eventually segue into hardcore – and that she'd be so incredibly good at it? The 2012 AVN Female Performer of the Year is up for the honor for the fourth time in a row; and given her stunning performances this year, we'd be thrilled to see her honored again. Something else to be grateful for? This year Skin's expanded her repertoire to include performing as well as directing, with titles like "Nerdgasm" and "Dollhouse" offering us a deeper glimpse into her delightfully depraved mind. And speaking of nerdgasms: anyone catch Skin in "Doctor Whore"? Given her affinity for the non-XXX source material, it's incredibly pleasing to watch her living out some TARDIS-themed sex fantasies.

Ela Darling: We've been grateful for Ela Darling for quite a few years now – but this year, we're especially grateful that she's decided to perform with men as well as women. A nerdy ex-librarian who enjoys making "pretty porn for smart people," Ela's as passionate about her work as she is about cosplaying. (And as anyone who's observed her tweets from Comic Con knows, she's pretty damn passionate about cosplaying.) She's also as witty as she is pretty, and, in her capacity as secretary of APAC, dedicated to making sure that her costars stay safe both on and off set. Which, come to think of it, means we're not the only ones who should be grateful for the wonderful Ela Darling (people of Pornland, we hope you appreciate all her hard work on your behalf!).

August Ames: This twenty year old Canadian heartthrob is up for Best New Starlet – and for good reason, guys. With curves (or at least breasts) that won't quit and insatiable desire for sex, she's quickly become a name (and face, and body) to watch in the porn industry. And we, for one, are incredibly grateful that we've gotten the opportunity to watch her. Sure, Canadian Thanksgiving was a whole month ago, but she still knows how to inspire gratitude in our American hearts this season.

Asa Akira: Is there anything Asa can't do? After several years in the industry, we all know that she's a dynamite performer willing to take her scenes to the next level – and then a level further. We also know that she's an entertaining performer in other ways, too – like, for instance, as the co-host of podcast DVDASA, a project she helms with "sensitive artist" David Choe. And now with the release of her memoir we can add author to the list of her accomplishments... which, in case you somehow forgot, also includes porn director, too. We don't know how Asa finds the time to keep giving her fans so much amazing stuff, but we do know that we're grateful that she continues to put out some much hot, humorous, and downright entertaining content. Maybe next year she'll break into a whole new sphere and surprising once more (we're just spitballing here, but: fashion design, perhaps?)

Belladonna: Belladonna may be long retired; but the over a decade she dedicated to porn performance left enough of an impression on us that we'll forever be grateful for the time she spent in the industry. It's a rare performer who can channel the kind of heat and intensity that Belladonna continuously brought to her performers; and even rarer one who can joyfully go to the depths of depravity that Bella routinely celebrated in her films. While it's always possible that another performer of this caliber will surface some day, we don't consider it to be particularly probable. So let's all be grateful that darling Bella shot so many scenes that it'll be hard to ever fully exhaust her archive (if you know what we mean).
