Daveigh Chase Will Drive You Wild in “Wild In Blue”

Daveigh Chase shows off some skin in the film Wild In Blue. After watching the trailer and taking a look at some of the screenshots, I’m adding this film to my Netflix queue as soon as possible.  

Best known for her work on as Rhonda Volmer in the HBO series Big Love and her role of Samara Morgan in The Ring, Chase is continuing to find more challenging roles. The movie Wild in Blue is about a killer who films his sadistic relationship with women, who has an infatuation with a potential victim, which forces him to confront his past. She has come a long way from playing Jake Gyllenhaal’s little sister Samantha in the 2001 cult classic Donnie Darko.

I feel the need to also point out Chase was the voice of Lilo in the Disney animated film Lilo & Stitch. It is good to see that Chase really wants to challenge herself in the roles she takes on. Also, it is great to see Chase take off her clothes in these roles.  

Sometimes it can be hard for actors who have some success as children, especially with Disney, to break away from that mold. Chase seems to have found a way and we are all better off for that. I’m really looking forward to Chase’s career continuing to take off.
