Zak Smith Interview: “I Just Put It Where They Tell Me”

If we could be anyone else in the world right now we might just want to see what it's like to be Zak Smith, who's not only a critically acclaimed artist but the alt porn stud du jour who gets to hang (and bang) with Fleshbot fantasy objects like Joanna Angel, Veronica Jett and Dana DeArmond in his alter ego as Zak Sabbath. In this recent interview by Needled's M. DiMattia, the multifaceted Mr. Smith talks about his introduction to the skin business ("I thought about the possibility of being in porn on occasion the same way you might think about the possibility of your breakfast cereal spontaneously transforming into solid gold"), what it's like working with directors like Eon McKai and our own Audacia Ray, and his thoughts on the whole alt porn phenomenon ("Dude, I have no idea, I just put it where they tell me to.") Good thing he seems like a genuinely nice guy, or we'd be, like, really jealous or something.
