AVN Transsexual Performer of the Year nominee Chelsea Poe is quite the awesome bit of business. She is pretty as heck and she stars in the multi-award nominated Trouble Films' feature "Fucking Mystic". She is also leading a movement to change the terminology within mainstream trans porn to get away from the use of transphobic slurs to market porn and she has one of the most fun to read Twitter feeds that I am currently following. Here are five performers who have inspired Poe along the way.
1. Sasha Grey.
Sasha Grey is by far the performer who influenced me the most to both really do extreme porn and not be afraid to be critical of the industry. Sasha Grey retired right as I started began doing camming and starting to explore the idea of doing porn but why she really connected with me is her porn was just kind of an extension of who she was and that really appealed to me.
2. Belladonna.
I feel like every extreme porn act you can think of Belladonna did and did it more hardcore than you could have imagine. When I first started having dyke sex I was super into Belladonna’s straped dykes and the angles for every scene are perfect and equally seem real to life and also absolutely filthy.
3. Coral Aorta.
Coral did a lot of a mixture of extreme bdsm for Kink.com and brought that element to queer porn that really connected for me as someone’s who sexuality is equally based upon bdsm and my queer identity. Coral was one of the first people I met in this industry and one of the people I wish I had a chance to work with before she retired but her scene with Siouxsie Q for Trouble Films Prima is always going to be a favorite scene of mine.
4. Jacqueline Woods.
Jacqueline was another one of the first people I met in the industry and what I really looked up to with her is her ability as a trans woman to do so many different kinds of porn which I am lucky enough to do now. She shot bdsm, mainstream trans porn and queer porn as a trans woman which was never really done before her.
5. Judy Minx.
On the first queer porn dvd I ever had Roulette: Toronto where Judy had an incredibly hot scene with Courtney Trouble. When I found out my first shoot was with Courtney so I kept watching that scene over and over again to try to “prepare” for my first scene. So Judy Minx bottoming for that scene for sure had an impact on me as a performer.
