For all of you bloody tampon lovers out there, today is a very sad day. The producers of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie have confirmed that the book's most notoriously gross sex scene will not be making its way onto the big screen. Although we weren't necessarily fist pumping about getting to see Christian Grey pull a tampon out of Anastasia Steele's vagina in living color, we've just got to say that it's a tad bit disappointing that they don't appear to have the balls to pull it off!
There's one thing that I know about book lovers and that's that they get incredibly disappointed when the movie depictions of their beloved books don't match up with what they've read. So when it comes to the producers' decision to cut the bloody tampon scene, regardless of its implied vulgarity, I am sure there are going to be quite a few disappointed fans. It's not about the grossness of the infamous sex scene, it's about persevering the perversion! Duh.
In a recent interview with Variety Magazine, director Sam Taylor-Johnson spoke on behalf of the decision to cut the infamous tampon scene, stating that "It didn’t make it into the movie, it was never even discussed". There isn't much info on regards to who made the decision to cut the scene, but it all boils down to that there won't be any tampons involved in the filming of the new Fifty Shades movie!
