Melissa Rauch Has A Raunchy Nude Debut In Her Sundance Entry ‘The Bronze’

The Sundance Film Festival kicked off yesterday with a bang. One of the indie flicks that was given a coveted screening on opening night was the dark comedy The Bronze. It's about a washed up, Olympic gymnast named Hope Greggory (The Big Bang Theory's Melissa Rauch) who won the bronze a decade ago after severely damaging her leg during the competition. Now, Hope spends her days living off what's left of her 15 minutes of fame, snorting grounded up, generic Sudafed, wandering the local, Ohio mall in a stoner haze and displaying one of the most vulgar, misanthropic, foulest mouths this side of Kenny Powers or Eric Cartman.

But the most shocking moment from the film takes place near the end at the 84 minute mark, involving pole vaults, cartwheels, pirouettes and a completely nude Rauch! Ass, tits, bush...the whole kit and caboodle!  Per Lindsey Bahr of the AP:

"Gymnastic sex" is mentioned early on in 'The Bronze,' a darkly comedic look at the world of a washed-up Olympian starring and co-written by Melissa Rauch of "The Big Bang Theory," but it's not until the movie is almost finished that the audience gets a glimpse at what that might entail, and it's a doozy.

The explicit, highly choreographed simulation of two gymnasts doing their thing elicited both gasps and hearty belly laughs from the packed Sundance Film Festival premiere Thursday. The subject dominated both the Q&A and the exit chatter, and the commitment to the bit alone makes the film a must-see.

That's as good of a sell's pitch we've ever heard. Sold!
