“Sirens” Will Make Say Oohhh and Ahhhhh

It seems like whenever someone takes a picture of me, the countdown takes forever and no matter what I end up with my eyes closed and mouth open. Just imagine not being able to move while you are naked, outdoors, and posing for a photograph. In Tyler Shields’ new series of pictures he asked his models to do just that.  

Calling the series “Sirens” Shields came up with idea to create one-of-a-kind pictures that seem almost unreal. But in truth every single piece of the picture is in fact real. He didn’t want to touch up any of the photos with computer programs of any kind. Shields described the project like this:    

Sirens is a new series which I am very excited to debut. This series was shot all on Hasselblad. The idea behind this series was to capture time so I took very long exposures some the shortest 2 minutes the longest 28 minutes no photoshop all effects done in camera. The challenge for creating this series was movement having everyone be still for such long periods of time. Below you will see a small making of check it out to see how some of these images were made!

His results have touches of classic photographers like Ansel Adams mixed with some more modern photographers like Spencer Tunik. The photos do look unreal and quite beautiful.
