Lena Headey Says No To ‘Games of Thrones’ Nudity But Her Resume’s Got Enough

We're one month away from the highly anticipated return of HBO's Game of Thrones. We're big fans of GoT here at Fleshbot. The acclaimed drama is a good source of...quality costuming and makeup work. Oh, and nudity. Lots of it. To the point of high criticism but I trust the David and D.B. never put it in their show for gratuitous reasons. Sex is used for power, as we've seen with Daenerys and others. Nudity on GoT is like the laugh track on The Big Bang Theory. One can't happened without the other.

I fell extremely confident we'll get our fare share of butts, boobs and bush in season five. But one person who won't be sharing is Lena Headey's Cersei. In the book and now on the show, her character takes a nude penance walk to atone for her sins but you won't be seeing Lena's goods. Per EW:

She won't be performing in her birthday suit, however; a body double is being used instead. (Fun fact for the kids: Lena dubbed her double's pubic wig "rice catcher.") "I obviously chose not to be naked for many reasons, but we want it to work beautifully," says the actress...

That's fine. Lena's a very sexy woman and although it would've been nice to see her fully nude again, it's not like we haven't see her naked before in stuff like 2008's The Broken, '06's 300, '01's The Parole Officer, 2000's Aberdeen and 1992's Waterland. We'll give her a break on this one. She's more than done her fare share, you could say.
