Twenty Questions with Fetish/Alt Porn Star Siouxsie Q

Kink/alt porn performer/sex worker Siouxsie Q is a wonder of a woman with a lot going on. She starred this year in Pink Velvet/Smash Pictures' "SF Lesbians: Scissor Sex App" in an AVN-nominated all-girl scene with Maxine Holloway and Courtney Trouble, she writes a great column for the San Francisco Weekly and hosts not one but two podcasts.  One of those podcasts is The Whorecast--an excellent platform about sex workers' rights and individual stories and the other is Winter Is Coming...On Your Face and it's all about Game Of Thrones.  So much fun.  I can not say enough about how much fun Q is and how much she deserves your attention.  Hell, we ALL should do what Q says and "support truth, justice and the American whore!"  Here are her answers to twenty questions.  

1. What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

I hung out with stoners, prom queens, and any girl I thought might want to make out with me. I chopped all my hair off freshman year. I said it was because I was cast as a boy in West Side Story, but it was really because I had my first crush on a girl, and I thought she might know I liked her too if I cut all my hair off. I was a chubby, freckle faced theater nerd, always super busy and involved with a million different things: Dance company, school plays, acting classes, honors classes, and I even started my school’s first Gay/Straight Alliance.

2. Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

Yes. I love porn! But initially I was most interested in written erotica. I have a very active imagination and I love being the director of my own fantasy. When I do watch porn, I always seek out content with a high level of power exchange such as kink and role-play. I also love performers who are super engaged with the sex they’re having—the filthier the better.

3. What do you think shaped you into the alt fetish performer that you are known for being?

a. Before I discovered kink, I wasn’t all that interested in having sex. I loved the chase: flirting with and pursuing the object of my desire, but the actual sex part I could take or leave once they’d been caught. Then I discovered BDSM and everything changed. Once I had my first kink encounter, I was starving for information and new experiences. I read The Story of O, the works of the Marquis De Sade, and I moved to San Francisco and dove headfirst in the BDSM community. My first porn scenes were for feminist and queer directors who were interested in documenting my authentic sexuality, and I just happen to be extremely kinky, so my performances reflect that.

4. What/Who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?

I just shot my first gangbang, which was a bucket list item for me and I’d actually love to do it again—I think I’d be more prepared for it the second time around and be able to enjoy it even more. It’s like a really intense roller coaster ride. Once I recovered, I was ready to get back in line and go on that ride again!

5. Who is your favorite male performer/female performer to work with and why?

My favorite male performer to work with is, of course, my boyfriend Sam Solo of GirlBullies.com. He’s this adorable barely legal-looking submissive angel face and I love him to pieces. And for girls, of course my favorite person to work with is my girlfriend, Maxine Holloway. 6. What fetishes do you have that you think would surprise your fans?

My fans know that I’m super open-minded and up for anything. And because I’m so active in the kink community, I feel like I really put a lot of my fetishes out there. It’s been interesting to see how my sexuality has grown and changed over the years. Right now, I’m obsessed forced-bi scenes, and forcing boys to eat their own cum.

7. What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

8. How long have you hosted the WhoreCast? What do you think fans can gain most from listening it?

I started The WhoreCast in November of 2012. So often when sex workers talk to the media, our voices get misrepresented and exploited and I wanted to create a platform that didn’t do that. The podcast is for sex workers and their allies, so it’s a great way for fans to get involved and stay informed about the fight for sex workers rights.

9. What do you like to do for fun?

I love being active: yoga, hiking, dance, I love it all. My favorite date night includes going to the theater, then grabbing a late night meal somewhere delicious. I love food, both cooking and eating it. Cooking an elaborate dinner for people I love is one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend, but I’m a very serious work-a-holic, so I don’t do it as often as I would like. But when I really want to unwind and unplug for a few days, my favorite vacation destination is always Disneyland!

10. What are the best things about being a porn star/sex worker?

I love that I get to make my own schedule and get paid to be creative. Also, being surrounded by dynamic, passionate, incredibly hot people is definitely a plus. Sometimes it feels like I’ve run away and joined the most amazing circus.

11. What kind of scenes do you enjoy shooting most over at Kink?

I truly love traditional bondage modeling—like what’ I’ve shot for Device Bondage and Infernal Restraints. It’s really in my wheelhouse, and I love it so much. Just me, a brilliant sadist like Claire Adams or P.D, and a warehouse full of rope, metal, leather, and wood.

12. What DVDs of yours are “must-owns” for your fans?

Definitely the movie I just made with Maxine Holloway and Ajapornfilms: Homance. Also, anything I’ve shot for GirlBullies.com but if you really want an old school DVD, I’d say that the XBiz Award winning film, SF Lesbians: The Scissr Sex App, is a must-own. The threesome scene between me, Maxine Holloway and Courtney Trouble was nominated for an AVN this year!

13. Who are your role models in porn and how/why do they inspire you?

Stoya inspires me. She’s written for the fucking New York Times! She’s so rad. Lorelei Lee is also a huge inspiration, for her porn, writing, and activism. I hope to write a screenplay someday as well. Ariel Rebel and Kelly Shibari are also both incredibly savvy business people that I really admire.

14. What do you enjoy most about teaching at Kink University?

I’m such a nerd about kink and BDSM, it’s nice to shoot for a site where I can really dive into that side of me. I could talk about BDSM for hours and hours.

15. What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

Fifty Shades of Grey of course! Just kidding, I haven’t even seen it yet. My real answer is Guardians of the Galaxy. Even though it came out over a year ago, I really haven’t seen anything recently that tops it. I saw it at least twice in the theatres and it’s fucking perfect. I’d watch it again right now if I could. I’m really excited about the new Jurassic Park though. The fact that there’s going to be marine dinosaurs in this one makes me pee my pants a little.

16. How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

Sorry, but Axel Braun’s Star Wars parody is amazing! It really was made for the fans, and there’s a threesome between Luke, Leia, and Han Solo!!!!!! Like, I really, can’t even. But most recently, Maitresse Madeline of DivineBitches.com put out an awesome movie about her real life BDSM relationship called “A Devoted Man” starring herself and her submissive male partner Will Havoc. So many things! Like I said, my film, Homance, has been nominated for a Feminist Porn Award, so I’m excited to see the results of that! Then in June, the play I wrote, Fish Girl will have its New York City premiere at The Brick Theatre’s FuckFest. The play is a modern fairy tale with music that explores themes of sex worker stigma. It’s always been a dream of mine to star in a musical in New York City, and that dream comes true this June! I’m so excited. Then in August, I’m getting married to my fiancé and co-host of The WhoreCast, Jesse James. It’s a big year for me.
