James Deen To Guest Star On Steve Coogan’s Show ‘Happyish’

James Deen is heading back to the mainstream with a guest starring role on Steve Coogan's new Showtime series Happyish. Playing the role he was born to play, himself, Deen will appear on the eighth episode of the series, which is set to debut on April 26. 

In a press release, Deen seemed pretty jazzed to be playing himself. 

“It was super fun to guest star on this show,” said Deen. “Everyone was rad and great work with. I am really proud of this, and I think it will be a good show.”

“Happyish” follows Thom Payne (Coogan), as he struggles with aging, the feeling of insignificance, and the desire to rediscover happiness.

In the episode, Deen plays himself teaching series lead Steve Coogan the meaning of happiness through the eyes of a porn star.

Coogan survived two road trips with Rob Brydon, one with Judi Dench, and the entirety of the Night of the Museum franchise, so Deen must have been a walk in the park.
