... or: "So I guess that place where the concierge called the hookers for us was the Shmitz-Shmarlton Shmarina Shmel Shmey".
It is tempting to dub the Temptation Awards a fly-by-night affair, probably because they're Canadian and I like Rush, but one cannot help but feel sympathetic to the plight of the upstart adult awards show that has been booted by both the Beverly Hilton and the Ritz-Carlton Pasadena this week prior to its inaugural show, scheduled for tomorrow. Or maybe one can. Read more after the gap. - G. Ponante

"This is an awards ceremony that celebrates the 'porno' industry, and the Ritz-Carlton does not," read a fax from Pasadena's Ritz-Carlton Huntington alerting Temptation producers that it was reneging on a contract it had signed the day before. "We cannot have 'porno' stars in our hotel.
"You intend to use the Hotel facilities for a pornographic video awards ceremony. We cannot permit activities at the Hotel that our employees and many of our guests will find highly offensive. Your awards ceremony falls squarely within this classification."
Questions of how much the two hotels knew about the event beforehand or if both just got cold feet with the prospect of the makers of "Catherine" showing up is unclear, but lawyers are now involved to help explain it to us.
Certainly the wording of "You intend to..." indicates that Temptation producers didn't show up with the ballroom deposit proclaiming "on Saturday night this place will be brimming with hot prosties."
"This is like the Titanic of awards shows," said one studio exec who is not attending, although Vivid performers Stefani Morgan, Cassidey, Briana Banks (pictured, as if in a hotel, but we usually stay home and cuddle), and Monique Alexander will be making an appearance.
Tomorrow's awards have been relocated to downtown L.A.'s Westin Bonaventure. "They know it's an adult awards show; it's in the contract," said a Temptation Awards spokesperson.
