Did Lady GaGa Dress Down For An Awards Show?

One can imagine sitting through an awards show can get pretty boring. The room is probably a little stuffy, the seats most likely get uncomfortable after a while, and surely there is a part of the show that is just a little dull. Probably the best advice one could get for making it through an awards show is to dress comfortably, just like Lady GaGa did for the Songwriters Hall of Fame 46th Annual Induction and Awards.  

I have to be honest here, I feel like GaGa dressed down for the awards show. I mean, where’s elaborate ensemble made from wire, glitter paint, and ten thousand faux peacock feathers to make her look like a mythical bird/angel creation out of Tim Burton’s childhood doodle journal? Not to say she’s not hot in this outfit, GaGa has some pretty sweet cleavage in her leather top (or bra) with matching black panties and black tights. And the Hugh Hefner-ish red velvet smoking jacket really does tie the whole outfit together. While I’ve never been a fan of platform boots, since GaGa is pretty hot, I’ll give her a pass with that. Still I think this outfit isn’t full GaGa. Then again, she probably just wanted to be comfortable during the awards show.  

GaGa lite is still pretty sexy, but I can’t wait for the next 1970s David Bowie nightmare/Dungeon Master inspired red carpet look. Those always are always such a treat for the senses.
