Back when we were wee little newly hatched Fleshbotties, Spiceplay was one of the very first adult networking-cum-virtual economy-cum-gadget auction sites we ever came across ... not that it's become a tremendously crowded field or anything, but we still couldn't help feeling a pleasant twinge of nostalgia reading over Sugarclick's Audacia Ray's review. The focus of the site may have changed since we last took a look (those gadget auctions seem to have fallen by the wayside), and there don't seem to be as many new photosets as regularly as we'd like to see, but those "subtle but sexy pretty young things" are as subtle and sexy as ever. Read Audacia's review after the jump.

Why you should visit: Subtle but sexy pretty young things is your bag
Why you shouldn't visit: You want your porn-purchasing process streamlined
I admit, initially I was not thrilled about Spiceplay because of the color scheme. It just seemed so ... innocent. Now don't get me wrong—I'm not exactly smitten with the in-your-face tongue-waggling, flash-the-gash (that phrase, it pains me), over-the-top porno bonanza either. Spiceplay seems innocent in a way that's unusual for porn—it's not using innocence to sell triple-X naughty bad girls. Instead, its innocence is for the sake of comfort and respect for viewer and girls alike. This is respect that comes with nudity, and it is good.
Spiceplay, though it's definitely an alt porn site with an alternative take on porn, doesn't get all in your face about it. In fact, they kinda leave you alone to explore the girls, the spices (basically tags that show common interests), the blogs and the community. The site is set up to encourage exploration - you kinda have to poke your way around to figure out what the site's owner, Killshot, jokingly calls "the most complicated porn site ever devised."
In some respects that's true. If you're used to waving your credit card like a magic boobie-making wand, you'll have to take a minute to figure out Spiceplay's credit system, which basically entails you buying credits and then applying them (at 35 credits a pop for about 40 images in a set) to the photo sets you want to see. It's not complicated, just different.
The girls of Spiceplay are divine—I'm an atheist and I think they're divine, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. Though there are a few heavily modded girls like we're becoming increasingly used to seeing on alt porn sites, it's a good mix. The best way to describe these girls is this: remember that shy, self-consciously sensitive girl sitting in the back of the classroom, writing poems or drawing? No, of course you don't. Well, that girl has grown up, grown into herself, and outgrown you cool-wise. And now she's on Spiceplay. Maybe it's not too late to give her a second look.
