Topless Art Is The Best Type Of Art

The minimal art movement—or Minimalism—is a type of abstract visual art which uses simple geometric shapes, flat colors, and pared down elements in paintings, sculpture, music, and film. I don’t know if we can truly call the human body minimal, but if you want to put a bunch of topless women in a video and call it minimalism, then I love minimalism.  

Eveningness, which is posted on Vimeo (link below), is a short video that sets out to explore the intimacy of sex and the human body. Sure, this film probably looks like every single short film your college filmmaking buddy shot and made everyone watch, but I have a feeling this one is probably a little bit better. The person behind this film actually found actors willing to go topless and that is pretty awesome. As to whether or not this film truly explores the intimacy of the human body and the act of sex, I don’t know if I can speak to that. What I can speak to is the fact there are quite a few awesome boobs in the film and boobs can be pretty intimate so, I guess you can call that a win.  

Even if minimalism isn’t your style of art, give this video a watch. I have a strong feeling you’ll find something to love and appreciate.
