Is This Surprising Or To Be Expected?
While I have never played any of the Fallout games, I do have many gamer friends who absolutely love it, and their level of excitement for the release of Fallout 4 bordered on being kind of freaky. As one would expect, the game set records for selling 12 million copies on the first day, but it may surprise you to find out that PornHub say a decline in traffic following the games release.
Well, if you are one of those people who loves Fallout, maybe it’s not that surprising that more people were playing than game than looking at porn. The president of PornHub, Corey Price, noticed about a 10 percent decline of visitors to his site once the game was available for download.
“We can’t say we’re too surprised with what happened to our traffic during peak gaming hours,” Corey told GamesBeat. “Based on the data, it looks like a huge surge of people decided to indulge in some wasteland wandering by taking the day off of work and school to play, while the rest of the world had to wade through what we assume were the longest hours of work ever in anticipation of some alone time with their consoles.”
It should be noted that traffic on PornHub did pick back up around 10 p.m. After a look day of roaming around a post-nuclear war landscape, nothing takes the edge off like a little porn.
