AVN's Best New Starlet Abella Danger simply lives and breathes her life as one of porn's current superstars. She works hard, hard, hard at doing her very best at her craft, and her body and her passion bear truth to my assertions of that. Winning AVN's Best New Starlet award is many porn girls' dreams, and seeing a young woman who wanted the honor so badly is inspiring. My own interactions with Danger have always been sweet, thoughtful, and very intelligent. I adore her and every interaction is a pleasure. Long may she rule and run and get everything that she ever wants from this industry that she loves with all of her heart and her body. I am really excited for her year ahead because the sky is truly the limit for a woman with desires and a work ethic like hers. I checked in with her to see what has been going on with her and I do hope that you check out her work if you have been under a boulder for the last year.

What does it feel like taking home one of the biggest awards that a female porn star can win?

"It feels so freaking amazing—it's such a huge honor. I've wanted this award since my first day in the industry. I wanted to be a Spiegler Girl and I wanted to win Best New Starlet. I'm so blessed to have accomplished both."

Of your fellow nominees, who did you think was going to take home the trophy, other than you?

"My politically correct answer is that I believe every single girl nominated had a really good chance. I'm sure they all worked really, really hard. Answering this question any other way would be too biased for me."

What does winning the award mean to you?

"Winning this award means every single day I pushed myself and did everything I needed to do [and it] paid off. It means I reached one of my goals. It means there's some method to my madness, haha."

What do you hope that having the award does for you, personally and in your career?

"Obviously, recognition for my hard work. I also believe the award will give people higher expectations for me, which is exactly what I want. I don't want to get comfortable. There's so much left for me to learn; this is only the beginning."

What type of projects are you looking to do from here? Has your creative agenda changed?

"I think it's too soon to tell. I'm booked just as much as I always am. Doing the same kind of shoots I've been doing. No complaints whatsoever." 

You respond to your fans a lot on Twitter. What kind of reception did you winning the award have with them?

"They were so proud of me! I loved it, I loved that my fans wanted this for me as badly as I did. That's why winning AVN Hottest Newcomer was so amazing too because my fans won it for me."

What can your fans expect from you in the coming year?

"Definitely a couple firsts." 

What do you want to achieve next?

"Ugh I have so many goals. I want to direct, I have certain nominations I want next year. Just so many. All I can do is try my best."

What advice do you have to a new girl just starting in porn right now?

"Fall in love with who you're working with for that day, give every single ounce of passion you have in your body, [and] try your best."

Is there anything you want to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?

"I love you guys so much! I'm so happy that you continue to love and support me."
