Sandra Bernhard Was Quite the Toughie in "Low"

So, I listen pretty regularly to this great podcast, and Cracker was a recent guest and fuck, I still love, love, love me some Cracker.

The song above was a video from their 1993 platinum record "Kerosene Hat" and it was just fucking good. Yeah, I was a happy music consumer back in the 1990s. I still am, for the most part but wow, Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven just were and are so much fun to see live and I have pretty much all of their stuff. 

Comedienne Sandra Bernhard was cast as a boxer who can kick lead singer David Lowery's ass in this music video. In a SPIN interview three years back about the song and the video, the band and the video's director tell stories of how the acting in that video got all method and how hard Bernhard actually punched him in the face and how MTV made them cut a bunch of footage of Bernhard all pissed off and swearing loudly as she drives around on her way to go beat Lowery's ass. 

Bernhard is so sexy and tough in the video and I always love other women who can throw a punch like I can, if it becomes necessary.
