Louise Frevert for Mayor!

While we here at Fleshbot generally try to keep our asses firmly straddling the fence as far as politics are concerned (ticklish as that might be on occassion), we've decided there are some situations which merit our taking a more decisive stand and therefore are pleased to announce our firm support of former porn star Louise Frevert's campaign to become mayor of Copenhagen. (Didn't know we were so heavily invested in Danish politics, did you?) True, we have some problems with her stance on immigration, and there are apparently a few racist comments she has to answer for—but as our friends at Sexoteric uncover with an in-depth look at her past career highlights, we appreciate her hard-hitting attitude towards the issues that matter most. (Those would be group sex, hot girl-on-girl action, and fabulous 70s porn queen hairstyles ... in case you were wondering.)

Update Although we hope most of you realize that the above "endorsement" was tongue in cheek (though we really are huge fans of 70s porn queen hairstyles), we thought we'd pass along this email from a Fleshbot reader who explains what Frevert's candidacy is really all about:

"As a recent transplant to Denmark, I cannot stress how much more restrictive the country has become for immigrants, nor the ugly xenophobia in a formerly tolerant nation wich is growing daily, inspired by the likes of Ms. Frevert and her ultra right wing Bush-supporting party. Although I married a Danish man in March of 2005, I have yet to receive my residence permit, which is in no way automatically given these days. Had we not had a large enough dwelling, had I been under 24, and had we not had 53,000 Danish kroner set aside in a special account, our request could have been denied. Even when I receive my permit, my worries are far from over. If my husband happens to lose his job, for instance, I will be asked to leave. Nice people, huh?

As an adult site owner and fetish person, I thought it only fitting that I respond in protest.
