So first off, congratulations are in order to two of our readers who won 3rd and 1st place in the Fleshbot co-sponsored RogReviews.com XRCO picks contest! The Fleshbot reader who won the grand prize picked seven out of the eleven categories correctly. I was seriously impressed and those winners are out there enjoying their porn bounty right the heck now, which is awesome. (To the two people who entered the contest and only picked one out of the eleven categories correctly: Watch more porn, you two!)
The porn fan entries versus the professional critic results are interesting, and there are some movies here that you definitely should check out if you have not yet.
This pick was the one that the fans were correct on more than anything else in any other category--a whopping 48% chose this excellent star showcase as being the year's best release. The fans runner-up pick to this was New Sensations' "The Submission of Emma Marx: Boundaries" with 32% of fans choosing the Jacky St. James-directed BDSM-themed feature.
Forty percent of fans picked either the Anikka Albrite starring and directed by anal release or the Angela White starring and directed by star showcase. The runner-up pick to both of these super movies was picked by 33% of the fans--AVN Hall of Famer Jonni Darkko/Evil Angel's "Adriana Chechik: The Ultimate Slut".
This is a category where the fans' votes differed quite a bit from what the critics chose. 45% of the fans chose AVN Hall of Famer/Wicked Pictures contract director Brad Armstrong over New Sensations' St. James who had 25% of the fans' picks. Lansky received a quarter of the fan votes with Jules Jordan and MimeFreak tying for second at 15% each. This was the category with the most range in it--every director up for this award received fan votes, which is not how it went in other categories. 52% of the fans agreed with the critics and picked Pax as the best of the year. Wicked Pictures contract performer Asa Akira's performance in "Starmaker" and India Summer's performance in Adam & Eve's "Marriage 2.0" were tied with 20% each of the fans' picks.
Hall of Famer St. Croix was picked by fans in 33% of their guesses while Pierce only received 20% of the fans' endorsement in this category.
Reid edged out Chechik as the fans' pick here with Reid receiving 28% of the fans' picks while 25% picked Chechik. ArchAngel Booty Queen AJ Applegate was the third place fan pick with 20% of the fans' endorsements. The image of Reid above is from Devil's Film's "Blacked Out 5".
Blue--shown here underneath Holly Hendrix in Hard X's "Anal Cuties 4"--was the universal pick with the fans giving him half of their picks in this category. Manuel Ferrara was the runner-up fan pick with 33% of the fans' picks.
Danger was the most common correct pick by the fans with them choosing her in 65% of the fan entries. Danger is shown above in LeWood/Evil Angel's "Anal Royalty". The fan's second pick in this category was Katrina Jade with 12% of the fans' picks.
Late performer Rayne was chosen by 30% of the fans and she is shown above in Wicked Pictures/Adam & Eve's epic "Wanted". The fans' second choice in this category was Casey Calvert with 20%.
This category had the widest chasm between the critics and the fans. Vandella was picked by 33% of the fans with 25% choosing Chechik and White with 15% while only 12% of the fans picked winner Chase. The image of Vandella above is of Vandella in Devil's Film's "It's OK! She's My Stepmother! 6".
