ESPN Body Issue Defines Poetry In Motion

CELEBRITY

These Bodies Are Perfection

While many might think the phrase “poetry in motion” comes from a Johnny Tillotson song, it actually dates back to a 1813 poem by Lady Morgan. And if you never really knew what poetry in motion meant, just look at Christen Press, Emma Coburn, April Ross, Nzingha Prescod, and Courtney Conlogue and I promise you'll know what it means.

I don’t really know why it isn’t a national holiday when the ESPN Magazine Body Issue hits the newsstands, but it should be. Anytime you can gather the world’s best athletes and convince them to take their clothes off is a day that has earned a celebration. This year is no exception. Talk about perfection, Christen Press, Emma Coburn, April Ross, Nzingha Prescod, and Courtney Conlogue have some of the most amazing bodies any of us will ever see. Sure, we all have our favorite body types, but if you aren’t impressed as hell (and a little turned on) then you have no one to blame put yourself. These nude bodies are as close to perfection as any of us will ever see.

I get that poetry isn’t for everyone, but poetry in motion, like what is on full display here, is something each and every one of us can understand. I don’t know how to really celebrate today, other than gazing at the bodies of Christen Press, Emma Coburn, April Ross, Nzingha Prescod, and Courtney Conlogue, but we should all take a moment and cheer.
