The Countess Was the Best!

So, the Emmy nominations list came out last week, and wow, I am not happy about some of the omissions. Fleshbot staff fave series Hannibal only got one visual effects nomination and nothing for acting or directing. Mads Mikkelson was an insanely great Hannibal Lecter, and even the original song written by Siouxsie and the Banshees for the show got skipped over. Such bullshit. 

Something that is even shittier is that Lady Gaga got zero Emmy love for her very excellent performance as a vampire-like creature named The Countess in the last season of "American Horror Story". She took the Golden Globe for the role and I know that a Golden Globe is easier to get than an Emmy but wow, she deserved the nomination. Her acting in this was excellent; she truly disappeared into the character. At least she will be coming back for season six which is debuting in September. That's an early debut for the show, which usually hits FX's schedule later in the fall. If you haven't watched "American Horror Story: Hotel", I highly recommend it. Why not give it a binge watch before the new season starts?
