“Naked Attraction” Is Just the Kind Dating Show You Think It Would Be

We All Start With the Looks

Dating shows have been around since the dawn of time. I’m sure our cave dwelling ancestors even hand some kind of hunter and gatherer matching making presentation. But even our most ancient descendants could have never imagined that one day there would be a dating show like Naked Attraction.  

Of course this show is not here in the states, oh no—this on Channel 4, and many critics and people have been calling it the most Channel 4 show ever. The idea is simple: You take one person who wants a date (let’s call them the dater), then add a few more people who want a date (we’ll call them the daties). The twist is this: The daties are completely nude behind some glass and the dater gets to take a look at what’s under the hood and have discussions about it. As the show goes on, the dater strips down as well so when they meet the daties, everyone is nude. And then for some reason after the dater picks a datey, they go on a date wearing clothing. I don’t know, that seems kind of odd to me.  

I guess I’m not too surprised that someone came up with this idea for a dating show. Besides the other nude dating shows, we all start with looks and work from there when looking for a mate. Seriously, I’m wondering when there will be a show where strangers have sex first, then decide to go out on a date.
