What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

"I grew up in a super small town and graduated with 150 people, so it was an environment where everyone knew everyone. I guess you could consider me a 'popular' kid, but it was because I was so involved in academics and extracurriculars that I just knew everyone. I was an honors student in AP classes, was on homecoming court, played the saxophone and the flute in the school band, played volleyball, did cheerleading and gymnastics, and outside of school was also a competitive figure skater. I was nice to everyone and my teachers always liked me.

I did, however (always have and always will) have a bit of a wild streak in me, so while I was so well-rounded and involved, I was also definitely out getting wasted on cheap vodka on the weekends, smoking weed, and sneaking out to death metal shows. I’m definitely responsible for corrupting a good number of my friends. Oops!

I wasn’t really the type to have random hookups; I lost my virginity at 16 to my boyfriend of over a year (which is an eternity when you’re in high school) and didn’t even make out with a boy until I was 14. I hooked up with a few of my friends after we broke up, though, and even tried to have a foursome with my best friend at the time (she ended up hogging the guy she was with so it was more like four people hooking up in the same room, ha)!"

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

"Before I got into the industry, I didn’t really watch porn and had only seen a few scenes in my life. Actually, the first time I can remember is at a sleepover in high school. One of the girls worked at a convenience store and stole one of the dirty magazines that had a free DVD inside, so of course when she came over we all sat around in our PJs eating popcorn and watched this intense all-girl orgy!

I used to really love Jenna Jameson back in her heyday, but it was more so because she seemed to exude confidence and sexuality. Plus she was a smoking hot blonde, and I’ve always been particular to blondes!"

What do you love most about being a porn star?

"There’s SO much to love, so here goes! I love the fact that I get to explore my sexual side in a safe and professional environment. I love that I get to get all glammed up and get people off who are watching my scenes at home. I love that I’m my own boss and have complete control over my career, and the freedom it provides. I love how incredibly empowering my career is and how much it’s helped me open my mind and become a more accepting and overall happy human being. I love that I continuously defy people’s stereotypes of what a 'porn star' is really like, and that I’m able to help many other women in my profession integrate porn into our society by being open about my life and the fact that I’m just another human being with a brain and career I love who happens to have sex on camera for a living.

I love that I left corporate America to do so, which meant deviating from societal norms and what we’re all told we’re 'supposed' to do (like go to college, get a job, etc). I love that there’s no ceiling to what I can accomplish; Just because I do porn doesn’t mean I can’t make moves in other industries, too. And I absolutely love meeting my fans!! It’s still crazy to me when people come up to me to introduce themselves and ask for a picture, like, 'Who, me?!' while looking behind my shoulders for like, Margot Robbie or something. I’ve gotten the most heartfelt letters and messages from people all over the world who reach out to me to tell me how much they love my personality, how my social media brightens their day . . . and of course how much they love my work, too! ;)"

What/who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?

"As for whos, I’m dying to work with Riley Reid!!! ‘Nuff said. As far as what’s, I take my career at a turtle’s pace. Right now, I’m right where I want to be as far as what I perform goes, but of course there will be some 'firsts' that will come along when I feel the time is right."

Who is your favorite male performer/female performer to work with so far and why? 

"Ya know, I truly don’t have any one favorite male OR female performer because everyone I’ve worked with is different! Everyone’s got their own personality, performing style and technique, and I’m super easygoing, so I’m able to work well with just about anyone. As long as you’re all about professionalism, a good attitude and it’s good vibes with you on set (which, by the way, is how I am), we’ll work well together."

You seem to really love your fans and you talk to them a lot on Twitter. What do you like most about this new group of people in your life?

"Like I mentioned previously, my fans mean everything to me. I wouldn’t be talking to you right now if I didn’t have fans! The fact that there’s this mass of people who chooses to take time out of their lives to follow mine means the absolute world to me, and for that I’ll forever be grateful. I love the fact that I’m able to have a positive impact on people’s lives, whether it’s through watching my goofball antics on Snapchat to brighten their day or to watch one of my scenes on a lonely night. It feels like I have a ginormous group of friends I can talk to about anything on the daily and they’ll always be down to hang out. Fucking awesome."

What/who is currently on your "to do" list?

"My to do list is pretty much 17 miles long, but what I will say is that ultimately what’s important to me is continuing to expand my career and venture into other industries. I absolutely love porn and will always have one foot in the door here, but I also don’t think the fact that I’ve had sex on camera before should have the power to define who I am and what I can accomplish. I’ve always loved a challenge!"

What did you think was going to be true in porn that you have since learned just isn't how things worked?

"Before I got into porn I was not only a cam girl for a couple of years first, but also picked apart the porn industry with a fine-toothed comb through all the research I did before making sure porn is the direction I wanted to go with my life. That being said, there hasn’t been anything I’ve had my mind boggled by because I knew pretty much everything there was to expect when going to a shoot. However, I certainly learned a ton of tips and tricks from veteran performers in terms of stuff like scene preparation, positioning for the camera, and what looks good on video. What feels good in your personal life doesn’t necessarily translate to aesthetically pleasing for the viewers at home!"

What do you like to do for fun?

"I’m a music junkie first and foremost, so when I’m not working, you can usually catch me at a show or music festival. If not, I’m either finding new music, mixing music, making music, or talking about music. Otherwise, I’m all about adventure and adrenaline! I absolutely love to travel and explore new places and do outdoorsy stuff like go hiking, ATV-ing, boating, jetskiing, go to amusement parks . . . the list is endless. I’m super active overall and never one to enjoy doing the same stuff over and over again. I’m also a big ol’ nerd with a lifelong love for learning. I’m always reading books on business, marketing, and self-improvement (I go through a couple books a week)!"

What do you most want to achieve as a performer?

"Ultimately I want Alix Lynx to be a brand that’s associated with porn but not ALL about porn, which is a direct reflection of me and my personality. I want to help contribute to further 'normalizing' porn in our society. It’s come a long way, but it’s still got a ways to go. And, of course, I want my own Fleshlight."

What makes a great scene partner?

"First of all, professionalism. That entails being on time, having everything you’re supposed to have with you, being groomed and having a good attitude, i.e. you’re there to work! Then there’s communication. That means discussing what we’re both comfortable/not comfortable with before the scene and deciding how the scene’s going to go down so we both have the same expectations. The bottom line is just do your job, do it well, really get into your scene and care about the outcome as much as I do and we’ll get along just fine!"

What do you think are “must-own” DVDs for your fans so far?

"I JUST finished wrapping up my first showcase DVD, 'The Sexxxploitation of Alix Lynx' along with my web director, Ivan, who’s unbelievably talented at putting together super creative and artistic scenes. And let me tell you, this showcase is FULL of them. Ivan, the rest of the team at PUBA, and I have been working incredibly hard on this for quite some time now so I’m so excited to finally be able to show off all our hard work. The showcase will be coming out in the upcoming months, so you’ll have to stay tuned!"

Who are your role models in porn and how/why do they inspire you?

"One performer who stands out instantly to me is Nikki Benz. Not only is she an industry legend, but she has a ton of admirable qualities; Her level of professionalism, business sense, attitude, branding . . . the list goes on. She’s a great example of someone who shines a positive light on our industry, which is never short of misconceptions and stigma."

What advice do you have for a woman who wants to be a better sexual partner?

"Turn your brain off and let yourself go! I think women, myself included, consistently have SO many thoughts going through our heads because we’ve got so much going on. There’s no way you can fully enjoy sex when in the back of your head you’re thinking of what time you have to pick the kids up from school and what you’re going to be making for dinner. Give yourself the luxury of putting life on pause for a bit to give yourself the best kind of mini-vacation there is!

Along with this, stop with the self-consciousness. TRUST ME when I say that your partner won’t even notice the stomach you think is too pudgy or the thighs you think are too big when you’re busy getting it on. And, above all, communicate! If your partner is doing something you don’t like, tell them what they should do instead. If you want to know if you’re pleasing your partner to the best of your abilities, ask them! If you have anything new you want to try in bed, tell your partner, then listen to theirs with an open mind as well. That’s the only way you’re going to know how to be a better partner between the sheets and keep things spicy."

What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

"I don’t watch many movies because I’m always on the go or getting stuff done, but I will say that anything by Tim Burton is always awesome."

How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

"I’ve actually never even seen a porno movie. I know, I’m so bad!! I don’t watch porn either, aside from my own once in awhile to see how my performance is and what I can do differently in upcoming scenes."

Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low-tech woman?

"I usually just stick to my fingers, but sometimes I just gotta bust out the Hitachi wand! If you’re a female and you haven’t used one before, stop what you’re doing right now and go get one. I promise you’ll thank me. "

What is coming up for you?

"My main focus is expanding my career and personal branding into other industries, but porn-wise, you can expect to be seeing a lot of really creative, cool - and hot ;) - scenes for my website, TheAlixLynx.com. I’ve got a bunch that have yet to be released and am always working on creating more! That aside, you can expect to see my name popping up in the non-porn world, but you’ll have to follow my social media to stay in the loop!"
