What were you like back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

"Oh dear, I haven't had to think about high school in some time. I was a bit of an edgy emo kid, and a little bit of a bully. See, I went to a Catholic high school where most people had money (not my family at this point) and almost nobody knew how to throw a punch, but I did. People were afraid of me from week one when I arrived out there, so I didn't have many friends. Really, there wasn't much to be afraid of, though - I was just your typical angsty teen listening to angst-filled music and arguing with my mom over the amount of black in my wardrobe. I liked how people would leave me alone, but when I did hang out with people it was mostly the other outcasts. The punks, the nerds, the goths, the artists, they were my crowd. Come to think of it, I didn't date much either, I can only remember three girls I dated in those four year; they were all band nerds."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

"When I first started watching porn, I really, REALLY loved Liz Vicious. She was amazing, just the kind of aesthetic I'm attracted to (and may have been inspired by for my own look). Her work and the content from Kink.com were the kinds of porn I consumed early on. I grew to enjoy some of the full-length porn parodies, mostly out of a love of silly plot and clever wordplay. Sadly, I can't recall any specific films that left an impression on me."

What kind of scene have you found is your favorite kind to do?

"Well, I haven't been in many scenes yet so I can't confidently say I have a favorite kind of scene to do, but I DO know what kind of scene I presently aspire to perform in! It just seems bizarre, especially when you consider what I'm like in real life. In real life, much like high school, I don't have many friends. Unlike high school, now I'm just quiet and reserved. I keep to myself, I don't do anything that exciting. However, there are still people who want to talk with boring little old me. It's amazing to me. My favorite thing would have to be the friendships I've developed with certain fans. There's more people than I could hope to get to know following me on my twitter, but the ones I have gotten to know and really interact with, it's been great. I smile when I see messages from people like Kenny, or Mudkipborn, or a good number of others."

How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?

"Well, it's not that fun of a story. I neither aspired to nor worked towards being in porn. To put it simply, I was broke, hungry, and on the verge of homelessness. I did porn out of desperation to try to save myself from dire financial straits, which obviously didn't work as I intended. It takes a lot of hard work over years to build oneself as a performer, and I'm nowhere close to having 'made it.' I did become homeless, and being homeless made it very difficult to get a 9-5 job anywhere, so I kept doing cam shows when I could. I'm sorry if this is a bit of a downer in the middle of it all, but this is the reality of my life, and this is the reality of life for many people in the trans community. I'm incredibly lucky to have done as well as I have, and I worked hard for it."

What do you most want to achieve as a porn star?

"It's funny, I haven't actually thought about what I want to achieve as a performer before. I know my end goal is to one day produce porn myself, but an end goal as a performer? I don't really know. I suppose my end goal should be the same as my present goal, really. I want to produce quality at the end of the day. I want my performances, be it in a professional shoot or just me in front of my webcam, to have an air of authenticity that enhances the fantasy of it all. It's the whole philosophy of my persona, really, and all of the work I do. Fantasy is best enhanced by reality. Who I am as Anya the Blushing Rocker holds several key commonalities with who I am as a person in my daily life. The things I do on camera I try to have touch into what I enjoy in my own sex life. It's a performance at the end of the day, but that doesn't mean it can't be genuine."

What have you learned most about yourself from being in porn?

"Well, I learned I really have a thing for exhibitionism oddly enough. It's not so much the sex that arouses me as the attention. I ADORE the attention. I especially love how the attention is focused on my performing persona as opposed to myself. See, a lot of aspects of my sexuality seem in stark contrast with many of my traits as a person. In reality, I love my privacy. I enjoy mostly being a shut in, being unobserved and thus unapologetically nerdy when nobody is looking. However, sexually, oh the more people I have watching, the more I enjoy it. The thought that hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people look at pictures and videos of me daily... Woo! It's just so exciting!"

What do you like to do for fun?

"In case you haven't already guessed (or looked at my twitter) I am a huge nerd. I'm talking Dungeons and Dragons on the regular level of nerd. I'm talking several hundred hours sunk on Morrowind, then several hundred more sunk on Oblivion, and even more on Skyrim level of nerd. I love playing games or watching silly cartoons. When the desire to be social takes hold, I go to the local hookah bar. It's amusing to me, though, as there's actually a group of people who are all fans of mine who now frequent my favorite haunt. Usually I'll just stay inside, that way I don't have to wear clothes."

"Well, I'm not sure if I can give this level of a recommendation. However, Grooby has a good policy of having their 'greatest hits' on DVD so to speak. Do you have a "wishlist" of anyone that you want to work with?

"Certainly, as stated earlier. The list is too long to really go into in detail, but I can tell you the reasoning behind who is and who is not on my list. It's always a plus when our styles sync very well, which is why if you're a cute punk girl you can almost guarantee that I want to work with you. What advice would you give a brand new trans porn performer?

"My advice for any brand new trans performer is to invest in improving their content whenever possible. This means early on if you do cam shows or produce your own videos, invest in better equipment. Get more outfits, special costumes, more toys, etc. The higher quality content you can produce, the quicker interest in you will rise. I did not follow this advice and I feel as though I have certainly paid for it."

What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

"I don't watch many mainstream movies. If I had to choose a mainstream movie, I would have to say the most recent 'Star Wars' (I know, that was like a year ago). Like I said, I don't watch many movies, but this was a solidly entertaining piece of cinema, even if I question some of the decisions made in the story based on pre-established 'Star Wars' lore. Sorry, I'm a nerd."

How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

"I haven't seen a full length porno movie in, I think, six years. I mean, I suppose it depends on how one defines "porno movie." Are we talking full length like an hour and a half with stories and character development? Then yes, it'd be over six years. If we're talking half hour videos like there are on Grooby websites, then I would have to say Lianna's hardcore debut was pure gold. I would love a chance to work with her personally. What is coming up for you?

"Right now, as boring as it sounds, I have nothing new coming out. I'm always open to perform in more scenes, but at the time of writing this I don't have any standing offers.
