Showtime Has an “American Gigolo” TV Series in the Works

New Man-Whore Thrills Are on the TV Horizon!

Variety is reporting that Showtime has a TV series adaptation of the 1980 erotic thriller "American Gigolo" in the works.

The original 1980 movie starred Richard Gere in the title role as a very sexy man who gets entangled with sexy supermodel Lauren Hutton in the role of a client/United States senator's wife. It featured the fabulous Blondie hit "Call Me" and was just all kinds of movie sexiness throughout it. 

It's being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the man responsible for producing the original film, along with Paramount. I am happy that Bruckheimer is doing it because he was totally down with the strong sexual content in this movie - we even get to see Gere's wang in the original movie along with Hutton's boobs and a lot of other female nudity as well. There's no word on the casting of the show yet but with HBO going all kinds of sexy with new series "Westworld" and the gold standard for cable nudity "Game Of Thrones", I am guessing that this new show will get good and dirty.
