Porn Stars Receive Warning of Potential Privacy Problem

The Adult Performers Actors Guild - an adult performers' advocacy group - has issued a warning to its members about a disgruntled former porn production company employee who is believed to have stolen a whole bunch of performers' personal info on their way out of their job.

Every porn scene - like the hot one above - has 2257 records kept on it by the production company who made the scene. These records include model releases and performers' driver licenses/state-issued ID cards, social security numbers, passport info and the like which show that everyone involved in the production of the scene is of age and is consenting to what is shown in the scene. This puts porn performers at a regular risk for identity theft and personal credit problems.

Keeping those records is pretty expensive, too. The government requires every porn company to keep a dedicated full-time office to maintain these records according to their specifications. If a production company closes, the company still is responsible for keeping and maintaining these records full-time for five years after the date that the company shuts down. These are the type of things that porn companies have to pay for to make what you enjoy, so really, continue to pay for your porn, dear readers.
