“Salem” and Its Bewitching Nude Scenes Are Over After This Season

Naked Witch Magic Didn't Get This Show Renewed

The network WGN America has announced they will not be renewing the drama series "Salem" after this season. The season finale of the show is scheduled to air on January 18th.

The show was never shy about having its main characters get into sexual situations, and I did love checking out the Marilyn Manson appearance on the show where he played a murderous cannibalistic barber in an homage to "Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". Seeing him out of the makeup and without the contacts is always a trip.  

I enjoyed the energy of this show when I tuned in and how the women in it were so powerful - well, as much as women could really be in that time back when Massachusetts was a British colony. It had history and sex and magic in it and that is always fun. Series star Janet Montgomery was down for a whole lot of nakedness in her role as was most of the female cast. If you have some time over the holiday, you can watch the first two seasons on Netflix streaming. It's a good, weird, sexy, and occasionally gross viewing. Hey, the 1700s weren't all that pretty IRL.
