CNN ran an interesting piece recently by sexpert Ian Kerner about how scheduling sex into a couple's life can be helpful. My first instinct was to say that really, there is no fucking way that putting sex on a calendar like it is a dentist's appointment or something is cool. It just sounds like a bad idea upon a first listen. The act of doing that seems to make pleasuring another human being into something almost clinical. 

Kerner makes a great point here about making pleasure a priority and how sometimes, making your partner happy can get lost in the shuffle. Great sex with your significant other is totally something that binds people together and a lack of it sucks in a whole lot of ways, not the least of which can mean that a person can end up feeling totally lonely within a committed relationship. So, definitely go give this piece a look and make sure to make time for sex, even if it's solo masturbation because you haven't gotten yourself a sweetie yet. Sexual pleasure needs to be on everyone's to-do list. Even if it isn't your hottest moment ever, the effort does, in fact, count in the long run.
