Checking in with Porn Superstar Eva Lovia

Former Digital Playground contract star Eva Lovia has her very own brand-new star showcase from Tushy being released on that site. It's called "Eva," it is directed by AVN Director of the Year Greg Lansky, it has a script penned by Jacky St. James, and it is filled with a whole bunch of firsts from Lovia, including her first boy/girl anal scene, her first girl/girl anal scene, her first interracial anal scene and her first double penetration scene.

Congrats on your new star showcase! What do you love most about it as a whole?

"I love how the storyline accurately depicts me as a performer and as a woman - it really shows the story of how I slowly evolved in my sexuality."

How was being directed by Greg Lansky? What is working for him like?

"Greg and I have been working together since I first started as a girl/girl performer. He also shot my first boy/girl and my first interracial, and now we did an anal showcase with a double penetration. It is safe to say we have a very strong working relationship; he demands the best out of everyone on his sets, including himself, so that is something I have always respected."

What scene did you enjoy most in this movie?

"My favorite scene is my double penetration, mostly because it was such a huge step for me as a woman and as a performer. There is no way to really prepare for that and there is always the fear and excitement of the unknown. I feel like in that moment I really grew as a performer."

What do you enjoy most about featuring in Lansky's work? You have also been on his Blacked site and were the Vixen Angel for March this year.

"I love the beauty that he emphasizes; it’s not your predictable campy pornos. You are really making something that is beautiful and can be respected."

What advice would you give to a woman who wanted to give the kind of super hardcore sex that you do in this movie a try? It always impresses me when a woman does these kinds of scenes.

"My advice would be to make sure you are comfortable and safe. The men are in total control in a double penetration. There isn’t too much the woman can dictate - you’re really there for the ride, so trusting both partners is huge and making sure they understand your body language the entire time. The whole point is to have fun, not to be in pain."

What do you think of Jacky St. James' script in this? How was it having her write this for you?

"This was my first time working with her; I can see where her reputation comes from. She is a brilliant writer and story teller. We barely know one another and she managed to really capture me - the real me, not just Eva, and that is very impressive."

What do you think this movie says about you as a performer? What message does it give?

"The main message in the movie is to embrace your sexuality. I have always been a bit timid and cautious, and so is my character. We both have our a-ha moment where we decide to throw caution to the wind, stop worrying about what everyone says is right or wrong, and enjoy the moment. The movie shows how much I have grown as a performer and that you can be hardcore and beautiful at the same time."

What do you most want to achieve as a porn star? You have already achieved so much acclaim.

"I want to be a positive role model for women in the business and the viewers; I hate the negative stigma attached to porn. Obviously, there is always good and bad in any industry but I like to show that this can be a wonderful, safe, and exciting industry and that it really can be a positive platform for ambitious, sexual women."

What else is coming up for you?

"We shall see… I hope that this is just the beginning of the things to come."
