Get Ready For 1970's NYC Porno Fabulousness!
Oh, I can not fucking wait for this series to debut. HBO has "The Deuce" debuting on September 10th. It is co-produced by James Franco along with a bunch of people who were responsible for the adored HBO series "The Wire" and it is about the world of porn in New York City's Time Square in the early 1970's through the mid-1980's.
Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Candy, a local sex worker who finds herself drawn to the porn business. This probably means we will be seeing a bunch of her on this show which is awesome news. Franco also stars in the series playing twin brothers Vincent and Frankie Martino who operate a mob-fronted adult entertainment establishment.
This is definitely not Franco's first foray into the world of porn. He produced the excellent documentary "Kink" back in 2013 about the goings on at Kink's armory back when scenes were still being produced there. He also starred in the drama "About Cherry" in 2012 about a young porn star.
There are eight episodes of the first season of the show and sexy co-stars include Margarita Levieva, Dominique Fishback and Emily Meade.
