Alt performer (AKA Mrs. Nikki Hearts) Leigh Raven has made her directing debut co-directing Filly Films' "Real Fucking Lesbians: Coast To Coast" alongside Hearts. The gonzo lesbian release stars Raven, Hearts, Charlotte Sartre, Chloe Carter, Draven Star, and Jasmine Summers. Raven has some solo directing work on the way through Filly Films later on this summer and with Raven's love of porn and eye for detail, the lesbian porn good times are pretty much guaranteed.

So what made you decide you wanted to give directing a try?
"Well, since Nikki and I have been together I have been pretty involved with casting/organizing shoots that Nikki is directing and we both decided it would be cool for me to have full control creatively on some upcoming projects."

How was co-directing with Nikki Hearts?
"Co-directing with Nikki is pretty much a dream. She and I are a two-woman, fully functioning production team. I am a certified makeup artist, I cast the movies, organize our day to day operations, and Nikki shoots stills and video. We both come up with scene scenarios and she has even been teaching me how to shoot camera."

What did you learn most from working with your wife on "Real Fucking Lesbians: Coast To Coast"?
"That Nikki and I are really great at shooting reality porn, especially together. We both are on the same page about shooting porn and really make an effort to shoot girls with REAL chemistry in real life scenarios... don't get me wrong, we are both super into comical porn, but we want all parties to be having a great time in a safe environment."

What do you enjoy most about directing for Filly Films?
"I really enjoy the freedom that Filly gives us to be ourselves. We also work very closely with Rebekah who works in the Filly Films main office and it feels good to work pretty much with an all-woman crew."

What made you choose the lesbian anal genre for your solo directing efforts?
"I knew for my solo directing debut I had to do something different in order to stand out. I did a lot of research on what was trending the the industry and categories that were lacking. Filly had never shot an anal movie so I knew that's where I needed to start. I was even willing to shoot my first ever anal for this movie and I'm really proud of the outcome."

What do you think that a lot of people get wrong about anal sex as a part of lesbian sex in general?

"I think there are a lot of misconceptions about lesbian sex, in general - that there has to be a 'top' and a 'bottom', that woman need a penis to be sexually satisfied, that lesbians aren't into anal, etc. Different people are into different things and it is never safe to assume what an individual likes or doesn't."

What have you enjoyed most about directing?
"The ability to have an idea and see it come to life. I really love the creative freedom I have with directing."

What is your favorite sex scene that you have shot so far?
"That's really hard to say. Any scene I have performed in with Nikki is a favorite because we have undeniable chemistry... but I also really like some B/G scenes I have done. I think my favorite B/G scene was with Steve Holmes for Burning Angel. One of my favorite scenes I have directed includes Chloe Carter and Gabriella Paltrova. It was for my anal movie and it was Chloe's first ever anal scene. The set up is super cute and comical at the same time. Y'all will have to keep your eyes peeled for that one!"

What kind of movies do you want to make as a director overall? Is the plan to stick with POV/all-sex or do you have other plans?
"I'd like to dabble in all sorts of directing. I don't want to limit myself. I think Nikki and I (with the right crew and budget) could create some amazing gonzo scenes, along with some features!"

How has Nikki supported you most in your education as a new director?
"Nikki has taught me everything I know when it comes to all things porn. She shot my very first scene with me and has stood by my side with directing. She is super talented and I owe a lot to her. She is really amazing at dealing with my OCD and annoying attention to detail."

What else is coming up for you?
"I am currently working on a squirting movie and a bush movie for Filly Films along with performing for various companies in the industry."
