Navy Investigating SEAL Who Has Been Doing Porn Scenes

Jay Voom Is Also a Navy SEAL

The United States Navy is investigating Navy Chief Special Warfare Officer Joseph John Schmidt III AKA Jay Voom for having a porn career alongside his porn star wife Jewels Jade without having the military's permission to do so. The investigation the Navy is doing is about whether Schmidt violated rules mandating that SEALs obtain advance approval from their commanders for outside work and whether the SEAL superior officers has been quietly allowing his porn work. The investigation began only eight months before Schmidt had planned to retire, putting into question his rank and retirement pension.

Jade said to the San Diego Union-Tribune, "They knew about it at work... He got called in and they said, ‘Look, keep it on the low, don’t mention the SEAL name and blah, blah, blah.’"

Navy officials are saying Schmidt did not fill out mandatory paperwork to seek clearance from his superiors to do those porn scenes on the side. The command did grant formal permission for Schmidt to sell herbal supplements when he asked to do that at one point.
