Can We Really Judge?

As much as I would rather not dip my toe into this heated debate, it cannot be avoided. We all know there is a Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) reboot in the works and this time around Lara Croft will be played by Alicia Vikander instead of Angelina Jolie. So, we must ask the question: Is one Laura Crofter sexier than the other?

I feel I must first admit my own personal basis because I'm a huge fan of Alicia Vikander and everything she does. I don't know if I can be impartial, but I shall do my best.

Now, here's the thing, I believe that when Tomb Raider came out there was no better option that Angelina Jolie. I knew it then and I still now it now. She was the perfect pick for this character. And the movies, yes they made more than one, lived up to the hype. Maybe not lived up to the hype as far as the story, but seeing Angelina Jolie in the tight shirt and shorts was perfect. And of course, there was some sideboob. You can't ever go wrong with Lara Croft sideboob. I know that Alicia Vikander has a big tank top to fill, but I think she can pull it off.

Granted, there have only been a few images of Alicia Vikanader as Lara Croft, but one has to admit she looks the part. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that she's not only going to look amazing, but also look amazing when kicking ass. And yes, I do hope there is some Alicia Vikander sideboob in this version of Tomb Raider as well.

I'm sure we'll get a better and more detailed look at Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft when the teasers and trailers come out. Sadly, we are going to wait a whole year before this movie hits theaters. While there is only one Angelina Jolie, there is also only one Alicia Vikander. We will all have our own favorite and we will all be right and all be wrong and that's okay.
