So Many Things to Be Excited About

Alison Brie plus women's wrestling plus the creator of Orange is the New Black equals holy spandex, Batman, none of us can wait for this show to premiere on Netflix.

Before we get into the breakdown of the show, let's run through a quick list of reasons why it's going to amazing. First, it's going to star Alison Brie. Second, there will be a bunch of women in spandex wrestling each other. And lastly, have you see Orange is the New Black?! If that show is any indication of what Glow is going to be like, then we better all stock up on the essentials the weekend of June 23rd, because none of us will be getting up off the couch. Okay, here's a quick synopsis of the show:

Inspired by the short-lived but beloved show from the 80s, GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women's wrestling. In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin) a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture perfect life is not what it seems. And at the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, coked-up B-movie director who now must lead 14 women on the journey to wrestling stardom.

And do we also need to mention our excitement that maybe, just maybe this will be Alison Brie's nude debut? Oh yes, we're very, very excited about that possibility.
