Obscenity Task Force

While mainstream news has been focused on such pressing stories as runaway brides and celebrity sex trials over the past few weeks, AVN's Mark Kernes has been reporting on the formation of a special Obscenity Task Force by the US Department of Justice earlier this month; ostensibly set up to protect children from sexual exploitation, some media watchdogs like attorney and veteran free speech advocate Paul Cambria are concerned that it may represent nothing less than a full-fledged assault on the adult industry in general: "How many millions of dollars will they squander in attempting to control our adult thought process when that money could be put to better use? ... Those of us who have been fighting this battle for more than 20 years are prepared to demonstrate, as we have with many jury verdicts in the past, that the average adult finds that adult material made for adults by adults is an acceptable form of entertainment." Better fill up those hard drives while you can, folks.
