Ok, aside from the nausea factor, some of this stuff is pretty dangerous. IIRC, loaches have sharp defensive spines behind their gills. That means if you stick one into your hoo-ha, you may not be able to get it out again! (At least without a surgeon's help. And no surgeon/sturgeon puns, please.)
