It was Anna Paquin who first ignited our interest in vampirerotidrama "True Blood." Well, Anna Paquin and her lovely breasts, at least (isn't that usually how it goes around here?).

So it was somewhat upsetting to see Anna's breasts go on hiatus for a few weeks. Were they being taken from us? Was "True Blood" abandoning its lead's endowments in favor of other girls' charms? We were totally almost on the verge of writing to HBO in protest...but then, last night, Anna came back to us in all her topless glory.

And everything was right as rain.

Is Deborah Ann Woll The New Sarah Jessica Parker?

Despite starring on a show called "Sex and the City," Sarah Jessica Parker managed to go six seasons (and one feature film) without taking off her top. It looks like Deborah Ann Woll might be following in her footsteps.

The actress, who plays a young vampire on the boobtacular "True Blood", has had several sex scenes—yet unlike costars Anna Paquin and Lizzy Caplan, her top has remained firmly in place. While we'd never want a young actress to feel pressured or coerced into showing the world her boobs, if you're going to be doing a sex scene, shouldn't you want it to actually feel like a sex scene?

Cause in our experience, the idea of keeping any clothing on during sex is pretty unrealistic. (Unlike the idea of vampires with hymens that magically regrow, which is totally plausible.)

At brunch the other day, we tried to query our neighborhood vampire expert about why, exactly, vampires are all the rage now. Clearly, the rise of zombies had been tied to the early '00s cultural zeitgeist...but why vampires?

"You're overthinking it," our friendly neighborhood vampirologist said. "It's just that vampires are sexy."

Later, we found ourselves watching "True Blood." When this came on, we realized how right she had been.

Vampires are just sexy. And for that, we are truly grateful.
