Angelic Shirley Is Waiting In A Tampa Gloryhole

Somewhere in a dingy Tampa bookshop kneels naked, 20-year-old Shirley. She peers through a crudely cut hole in the sheetrock and waits for all comers. She doesn't have to wait long.

"Gloryhole Girlz 6" takes us back to a time when porn was just a little more sordid, unpolished, and local. Dirty D Productions is, after all, the same outfit that brings us the "Crack Whore Confessions" series.

The standard gloryhole is a very anonymous (save for the stray pubes one finds clinging to the wall) endeavor. One pokes one's dick through with the hope that whomever receives it takes good care of it. But the customer never sees who is servicing him.

In "GloryHole Girlz" Shirley (and four other Tampa natives) strip for the camera and then await the inevitable, which arrives at eye level. Shirley quickly dispatches with three customers, and her interview is utterly charming, made more so by the sassy/creepy interplay between herself and the cameraman.

I like movies like this because they get to a baser, non-airbrushed level of sex for money; we can smell the tiny cubicle in which Shirley kneels from here, and her guests are not putting on any Ed Hardy douchebag airs, either. All she'd need to do to put a cap on the delightful debasement is hum "On the Good Ship Lollipop" through a mouthful of spooge.

But no matter. As an anthropologist, I am intrigued by these vignettes of Tampa ladies, some long in the tooth, one pregnant, none future Wicked or Vivid girls, each giving it their flappy all to a man with a Smooth Jazz of the 70's voice named Dirty D, who fucks most of them on the same horrifying couch.

I'm not suggesting that this is the type of porn that would only be appealing to people who seek out National Geographics to get off to. In fact, this is the type of porn for anyone who looked up from his breadsticks, caught his Olive Garden waitress in just the right light, and thought: "Oh my GOD I bet she comes like a volcano."

And I bet R. Crumb himself would have liked Jenna, star of the first scene, as his Olive Garden waitress.

So it is a fantasy element of a different type at work in this video and, if you think the demographic must skew a little older, you're right.

To pregnant Carmen, whom he mounts on a Sybian, Dirty D says, "This is the E-Ticket ride, Lady."

"Theater Sluts": Tampa's Version Of The Tonys

When "Theater Sluts" arrived at Fleshbot West, I naturally assumed some backstage video had been smuggled from Fleshbot High's production of "HMS Pinafore." Alas, this was a cast party I was not invited to.

With all the airbrushed, straight-toothed, couples'-friendly porn out there, it is nice every once in a while - or even thrice in a while - to reach back and remember when porn was raunchy and fun and unsettling.

Well that world still exists, my friends, and it is the City of Tampa.

"Theater Sluts" features Hillsborough County's tannest and most feathered beauties venturing into old-school porno theatres where they meet just the sort of people who frequent porno theatres.

What follows is a spot-lit and vaguely orange grope in the dark with only one woman (19-year-old vixen Jasmine) looking at all porny (though Tampa, according to the Journal of Invented Statistics, has more strippers per square mile than anywhere else in the world) and the rest at the very least looking game.

And the men involved, including host and narrator Dirty D, are neither apologetic nor abashed the way many of their Porn Valley gangbang counterparts are. Their fishbelly white, flabby stomachs are a mark of pride and status, undulating hypnotically as they bounce atop the asses of Floridian strippers.

But lest you think "Theater Sluts" is unredeemably prurient, along comes Cedra who, in the final scene, evokes "The Wizard of Oz."

"Is there anyone here who didn't come on you?" Dirty D asks.

"Nope!" she says, looking around the dim room. "He came on me, he came on me, and he definitely came on me."

Lingerie Bowl VI... Cancelled?

It can't be! The most hotly anticipated lingerie sports event of the year—the Lingerie Bowl, of course—has been cancelled. Pay no attention to the website's countdown: there will be no lingerie football extravaganza this year.

What could possibly have caused such a catastrophe? Well, this year you can place the blame squarely on the nudists. In what was supposed to be a sexy act of synergy, the Lingerie Bowl was scheduled to be held at Tampa's Caliente Spa & Resort, a luxurious clothing-optional getaway. And—in a totally unforeseen act of drama—there was some conflict between the lingerie-clad and the clothing-optional. Lingerie Bowl officials wanted to keep several areas of the resort (including the nightclub) clothing-mandatory, the powers that be at Caliente felt that that much clothing infringed upon their guests' rights (and enjoyment of nudity).

So this year, when you're stuck watching the Puppy Bowl, just remember: you can blame it all on boobs.

Ever wanted to make and sell a homemade porn movie but lost hope after the penis pictures you posted on Craigslist yielded nothing? Visit Tampa from March 28-30 for a comprehensive seminar that will cover everything from lighting to where to store your talent IDs for when the feds break down your apartment door.

Florida's Nightmoves Magazine, a respected stripper publication, and performer Courtney Cummz are teaming up with Tampa lawyer Brandon Kolb for the first-ever seminar, which promises to address the casting couch as well as "the legalities from experienced adult entertainment Attorneys."

Participants will actually shoot a porn scene with Cummz' guidance by the end of the seminar. Talent will be provided by a local casting agency, TandA Management.

We were concerned that no one from the number listed on the website answered our calls during business hours and that there was no mention of what the seminar would cost, but we reassured ourselves that porn really is about promise rather than delivery.

In any case, it's got to be better than Kate Capshaw's "SpaceCamp."

Popshots of the Week: Ink Spots Edition

Tattoos abound this week in the porn world, probably because there is a nip in the air and we often confuse pain with heat. There is no better time to feature several of our inked favorites, including Joanna Angel, who recently finished signing duties to get a flower with a bomb in it burned into her side at New Jersey's Starlight Tattoo Convention. I asked Angel what the difference was between porn conventions and tattoo conventions.

"I was the only porn girl at this one," she said. "I was signing copies of 'Cum on My Tattoo'. There was a huge line. I think that at porn conventions guys just want a pretty girl to smile at them, and any one will do. These people were there to see me."

Stormy Daniels, Jesse Jane, and Carmen Luvana proved that contract girls for different companies can exist in the same place at the same time without Lionel Stander declaring that "it was murder". Here they are at Tampa's Nightmoves show last week.

The ubiquitous Michelle Aston sprawls on a bench outside Justice Howard's Toys Kill show in Hollywood last week. Aston was featured in the photo exhibition and just about everywhere else. "I'm tired oof teaching 20-year-olds how to fuck," she mused. I reminded her that I was 22.

Finally, Marco Banderas and loveely Newcastle-born wife Lisa DeMarco (get it?) pose in Tampa. We are not sure if either member of the couple has tattoos, but Banderas could probably focus the white hot rays of the sun with his teeth to cook up a workable one of those coccygeal butterflies.

Says intrepid Fleshbot roving photographer Autumn Sonnichsen of this last batch of hot performance shots she took at FetishCon 2007 in Tampa last weekend: "Did you know that you can make sparks fly out from between a girl's legs? I did not know. I learned a lot last weekend." We've heard rumours that such things were possible, but it wasn't until we saw what was going on onstage that we believed it could really happen. Among the many pervy delights we missed at FetishCon 2007 this past weekend was a live performance featuring Fleshbot crush objects Anastasia Pierce and Rubberdoll, who between them generated so much heat that it's a wonder their ensembles didn't spontaneously combust and/or melt right there on stage.
