Now I happen to know that at least three of the women featured in Hustler's "Real College Girls Lesbian Stories 3" never attended any institution of post-secondary education, but damn, these girls can act.

"Sometimes I feel used after having sex with myself," says Georgia Jones to Alyssa Reece, lounging on a leatherette couch in that porny, overmiked way where you can hear their heels poking into the upholstery. The idea is that no one really believes they are college girls (Jones mispronounces "extracurricular") but at least they give it the old college try.

Sometimes I come across (well, not literally—I appreciate porn for its fonts) DVDs that make me wonder about who the target audience is. Andre Madness seems to have directed this cast, which also includes Eden Adams, the juicy Alexa Jordan, Winter Sky, and Marie McCrae, to appeal in a non-threatening manner to porn consumers who don't just tune out male porn performers but regard them as a threat.

Each segment begins with an interview in which two women extol the virtues of girls, how they're soft and pretty, smell good, and are polite. Then they fuck each other, gently.

The other day I was in my old college bookstore and I was sad to see my student ID had expired. I could have used the discount. It's times like that that I wish I were younger. But then I see a movie like this and think, "I'm glad lesbians didn't look like this when I was in college, because I wouldn't have gotten any work done." Or extracurricular activities.

"Intimate Temptations": When Bad Porn Titles Happen To Good People

Had we known that San Francisco had lesbians in it, we would have stopped there on our way to this weekend's Sausalito Chili Cook-Off. But we must leave it to the intrepid Madison Young as she plumbs the depths, or somethings the something, of the Bay Area lesbian scene in "Lesbian Life: Real Sex San Francisco."

"Everywhere I look in San Francisco I find hot lesbian sex," says Madison Young, our Huell Howser of vagitarian culture. But it is a city of contrasts.

And if residents sometimes complain of that 49-sq. mile thumb of land feeling claustrophobic, they can get some consolation they share the foggy peninsula with old friends like Lorelei Lee, Shawn and Jiz Lee from the Crash Pad, and Dylan Ryan from the Strap-on Motel.

Sadly, Young only appears as the narratrix, not as a perfomer. But have no fear: In addition to the hot lesbian sex going on everywhere in San Francisco, each resident seems to be reading Young's cover story in Spread.

Kissing Jessica Drake, Who Is "Kissing Girls"

To know jessica drake—or at least to bump into her semi-regularly—is to be infatuated with jessica drake. That is why hopes are high when Wicked gets around to jessica drake in its contract performer marquee movie rotation. And that drake gets around to Dana DeArmond turns out to be a pleasant surprise in "Kissing Girls."

jessica drake is Zoe as today's Wicked Girl on a mission in "Kissing Girls," in which the long-leggedy pornstress lets us know (in standard-issue voiceover form) that this will be her year to climb the corporate ladder, make the world a better place, and find her soulmate. (As this line cuts to her trysting with Eric Masterson, we can assume that he is not it, else the movie would be very short.)

"He understood my passions and dealt with my neuroses," she says of him. But when he tells her to hurry because his wife will be home soon, she knows it isn't to be. We know that the movie will be about dipping her toe in the world of women.

Like Hustler is hitting a groove with (or at least spending a lot of time on) its "parody" movies, Wicked is co-opting mainstream successes and making them a little more porny. "Kissing Girls" is, obviously, Wicked's "Kissing Jessica Stein."

Frustrated with men, Zoe answers a personal ad. From a girl. At first she is hesitant, but when a montage sequence reveals that alll men are crazy, she reconsiders."Besides," she says, "aren't all women lesbians these days? Bisexual? Swingers? Isn't that all the rage?"

All the rage in Hell, maybe.

Anyway, drake bites the bullet and meets Moonbeam (Dana DeArmond), and they hit it off on Wicked's muted pastel restaurant set. And they have so much in common! They're both Scorpios, they like to drive, and neither likes labels! But they do like labia.

Moonbeam tells Zoe about first finding a woman attractive, when she caught her babysitter (Scarlett Fay) having sex with her 40-year-old boyfriend. Luckily, we don't see 12-year-old Moonbeam peaking around the curtains. We're also proud of ourselves that we guessed how another sex scene would be shoehorned in before Zoe and Moonbeam's inevitable coupling.

drake and DeArmond at first seem an unlikely porn pair, but DeArmond handles the transition from gaping and choking to couples'-friendly lesbo scene with aplomb, and even inspires the best ad-lib of the movie when drake says, "If I had a cock you'd be in trouble."

I've said it before and I say it again: it's great jessica drake does not have a cock.

Kylie Ireland's "Bitch And Moan" Is Not For Whiners

Knowing Kylie Ireland as I do (she once prevented her dog from eating my Wheat Thins), one has confidence that her movie "Bitch And Moan 2" will not be some by the numbers effort featuring lesbians-'til-graduation pouting for the camera in fake alarm. Instead, she gets genuine surprise out of people like Roxy DeVille, Aiden Starr, and Eva Angelina as terrible, wonderful things are perpetrated on their persons.

Scene One features a tuxedoed Ireland playing Master and Servant with Roxy DeVille. At one point Ireland must retrieve something the loss of which can't be explained by gravity.

Only Ireland's penciled-on John Waters moustache distracts from the scene. So I just closed my eyes and thought of Baltimore.

The beauty of this movie is that, even if you feel you would be turned away had you showed up with your testosterone and Manifest Destiny, you would still have the consolation that the women were doing to each other everything you would have. It is as if you wrote your suggestions on little notecards and they were duly considered.

Trinity Post and Amber Rayne leave Kissy Kapri in the dust in the bendy department, and the latter takes her revenge by slapping the hell out of Rayne, who doesn't seem to mind.

Eva Angelina is like Ireland's South of the Border younger sister. I have the impression Ireland didn't have to direct her much in her scene with Sammi Rhodes.

Cruel Aiden Starr opines in the final scene, as a box of toys arrives:

We really have to admire the fashion sense of whoever was responsible for the art direction in this scene. "Be My First" Forces Perspectives (But Not Penises)

The arresting cover of this compilation of Eurolesbo fare from 2005 and 2006 made me think that expatriate R. Crumb must have finally thought he was in the right place at the right time, so present are those boots, thighs, and other parts on his adopted continent. But does this movie make good on its boxcover's promise of uninhibited, in your face vaginalia?

Furthermore, our heroine is far more svelte in her scene than she is in her still photo. Good for her, bad for me.

This is one of several pairings in "Be My First." Each is slickly shot with attention paid to capturing each smacking kiss and affected moan. The women are striking and perhaps can be forgiven for fibbing when they said they'd never done girls before.

But the boxcover flimflam can never be forgiven. I'd write my Member of Congress, but I don't think there's an extradition law about misrepresenting vag size.

Checking In To John Chalk's "Hotel Fetish"

Following my first AVN convention in 2003, I tried to stay at every Vagabond Inn in the country and found each had the same delightful old man/hooker or old man who is a hooker smell as the one in Las Vegas. So you could say that I, too, had a hotel fetish. Director Chalk took the story of the former Soviet Union's "Hotel Fetish," a bordello for the service of KGB agents and dignitaries, and put together "reconstructions" of some of those gentlemen's favorite turnons.

I hate to say it, but the Nazis were kinkier. According to the revelations in this movie, the KGB were more into voyeurism, lingerie, first-time lesbians, and putting whipped cream on their parts, just like the Bogue Chitto Sheriff's Department. No wonder the Wall fell; theirs was such a softcore world.

But the setup is a good one. Whether or not the shaded women speaking Russian and Magyar were actually former prostitutes is irrelevant because the framing device is pretty effective. They also are sure to say they loved their jobs so as not to seem exploited.
