It is not often that we find a porn movie that is charming, especially at such a cynical time. Private's "A Real Swinger's Orgy" makes having sex with strangers seem fun and wholesome again.

Peter Acworth has a problem. He has impulsively made a promise to a very big client that he will film an epic swinger orgy at the massive Armory Building in San Francisco, which he happens to own as president of Kink.com.

Once he gets the go-ahead to begin shooting, he must then populate the event and dress the room, two things that anyone who knows Peter Acworth also knows he will have no problem doing. But, for purposes of this delightful, documentary-style porn Kink.com made in association with Private, we watch the British Acworth get all Hugh Grant nebbishy and tie himself into knots as the big day gets closer.

He approaches the always interesting Princess Donna in a bar. Here she plays a forgotten trophy wife. In a line that I will use shamelessly, he says, "If you are short of something to do, you should come to my sex party."

Various storylines unfold: a "Pina Colada"-style "I didn't know that you liked sex in public" misunderstanding between Mark Davis and his doctor (both show up at the Armory at the same time), a husband who thinks his wife is a prude, even though she looks exactly like Princess Donna, and a hapless cameraman whose real dream is to be in front of the camera, you know, fucking (when put to the test, he can't unload in time but, unlike in most porn, this fellow has a story arc).

Kink.com, which is known for hardcore fetish sites like Ultimate Surrender, Wired Pussy, and Men In Pain, is no stranger to suspension—as in naked girls dangling from ropes—but this is suspension of disbelief. We gladly check our cynicism at the door as the movie asks us to forget things we already know but then charmingly ties everything back together.

Orgy Day comes and the Armory looks great. A group of naked porn stars arrive, such as Sindee Jennings, Annie Cruz (rarely seen in Porn Valley anymore—it's good to know where she's been hiding), the adorable Sarah Shevon, beautiful, lush redheads Bella Rossi and Cherry Torn, and reliable porn dudes Mr. Pete and Derrick Pierce, all of them there to get the party started.

And that is what the final 80 percent of "A Real Swinger's Orgy" is: fucking, mixed with unobtrusive but satisfying plot resolutions.

Mark Davis, veteran woodsman that he is, cannot resist giving directions in a manner that would get a younger man kicked out of bed. Acworth, ever the fidgety host, flits here and there with seltzer bottles and drink orders, Sindee Jennings can be heard shrieking across the room, soaking all that nice antique furniture. At one point Mr. Pete is servicing Shevon ("Don't fuck me back or I'll come") when he hears Jennings caterwaul across the room and he shoots her a dirty look.

If this movie had been made 300 miles south in Los Angeles, the lights would have been too bright and the checks could not have been cashed fast enough. But we really are convinced that "A Real Swinger's Orgy" is the real deal, even with a little help from the pros.

So if you're not short of something to do, you should really watch this sex party.

Samantha (the exquisitely nude Kayden Kross) wakes up from future sleep in a future chamber, a recorded message from her late father (director Ren Savant) playing on the future video screen.

"Possibly I died of natural causes," he is saying, Jor El-like, waxing on about the zero-point generator he invented that he is confident will have saved the world by now. "I am very envious of my little girl."

Envious or not, Dad, at least wait until she's got some clothes on.

Thus begins "The 8th Day," Adam & Eve's massive 4-disc (two for the feature, two for extras) epic of sex in a post-apocalyptic world, part "2001," part "The Road Warrior," part "Contact," and, what the hell, still weirded out by a father being creepy with his daughter, even posthumously, part "Blame It on Rio."

Of course, the world Sam wakes up to isn't quite fixed. In fact, it looks a lot like many greater Los Angeles communities south of the 10 freeway; places where bodies are meat, technology has betrayed Man, and where "In a lawless new world, sex is the only salvation."

"My God," Sam says. "What happened?"

Life happened, Sam. We follow her through the ruined, overgrown landscape. We evaluate Sam's choices as if she were making her way through Quake, and we're waiting for her MMPORGasm.

In fact, "The 8th Day" is unlike many contemporary movies in that it takes its time, and this is an unexpected pleasure. Well, perhaps not to fans of porn's pay-per-minute model, but whatever.

By the time Sam meets Mel (Amber Rayne), lots of information has slowly unfolded, much like Krissy Leigh's impressive labia in a desert shanty scene with Tyler Knight.

It turns out, Mel tells Sam in porn's first recorded ten-minute dialogue scene, that long ago all the electricity went out, the animals died, women had trouble reproducing, and mutants with different attributes emerged. Sam, for example, has sex with some slimy Morlocks. Then we watch a three-way between some blue, caterwauling Gila girls. I'd add "Good Times" here, but I'm not a douchebag.

Mel takes Sam to the Elysium Fields, a desert enclave ruled by the charismatic Amir, who preaches against technology and presides over tent orgies. We learn that Amir led the angry mob that killed Sam's father when the latter's science didn't turn out as expected. We learn, also, that Mel can take a double-penetration like a goddamn champ.

My only complaints about the movie are logical ones, which I admit don't hold up against the copious flesh on display, but here goes: It is not altogether clear why Sam's dad put her into deep sleep, unless he just did so to see his adult daughter naked. And Amir doesn't seem all that charming, despite the fawning.

But the risks "The 8th Day" takes are admirable for porn. There are stretches without either music or nudity and where the plot advances by scenery alone. The special effects are parceled out with maturity, there are references to Shakespeare and the Beatles, and the movie trusts you to allow it to end without a cumshot.

There is also more creepy stuff with Dad, crucifixion, peeing on asbestos, a "West Wing" cameo, Bree Olson's Blue period, the unsinkable Darryl Hanah, the always-dependable Trinity Post, a delightful performance by Amber Rayne, and the jaw-dropping Kayden Kross, who meets a bad end (but so does everybody).

"The 8th Day" is a great movie; how bad can the end of the world be if it's got Kayden Kross in it?

Kayden Kross Fucks Like It's The End of the World In Adam & Eve's Highly Anticipated "8th Day"

And that is no exaggeration. Watching the incredible blonde writhe around naked on a throbbing tool all but made us forget what we were watching in the first place, and wonder why everyone was so dirty?

Porn doesn't have anything like Hollywood's traditional pitch meetings, but we still like to imagine Director Ren Savant promising Adam & Eve's head honchos that he was going to make the best porn movie of the decade by mixing "Mad Max Thunderdome" with "Behind the Green Door' all while using action figures, a Kayden Barbie, several Tonka trucks, and a cat box to illustrate his point.

Any reservations the A&E brass had about making a big budget, non-spoof sci-fi porno were certainly placated by the knowledge that indefatigable blonde beauty Kayden "too pretty for porn" Kross would be cast in the lead.

The story opens with Kross being awakened from a cryogenic slumber to find herself in a strange city overrun by tribal gangs and overactive sexual half breeds, not entirely unlike Barstow or the backside of a meth lab way back in the hills of San Bernadino.

Kayden gets rescued by a scrappy scavenger girl, Amber Rayne and learns her only hope for salvation lies in the hands of the charismatic ruler of a desolate dessert village, known as Elysium Fields. But when Prince Amir takes Samantha under his wing, he discovers who she really is and decides that she must make the ultimate sacrifice.

Will this be the greatest movie of the year? Can it topple the strangle hold "Operation Tropical Stormy" will no doubt have on industry come awards time? No one knows for sure. We can say, however, that it is an impressive effort replete with sexy girls, hot sex, orgies, and bucket loads of pure imagination, which (as we all know) Einstein even said was more important than having Stormy.

Tristan Taormino's "Rough Sex" Gets Us All Choked Up

This past April, Tristan Taormino and Penny Flame gave us an introduction to rough sex; now Tristan's upped the stakes (and the roughness) with the first installment of her brand new series, "Rough Sex."

As with "Chemistry," Tristan builds "Rough Sex" around the desires of her performers. Each of the five scenes is directly based on the rough sex fantasy of its female star; the male co-stars were also chosen by stars themselves, not a casting director. It's a nice touch: knowing that the performers are acting out their secret (or not-so-secret) desires with someone they enjoy working with adds an extra oomph to the scenes.

And the scenes themselves are pretty hot as it is (at least if you're into rough sex). Of the five, Satine Phoenix's scene with Derrick Pierce is easily our favorite. The most elaborate of all the scenes, "Stranded" finds Satine, ahem, stranded in the desert with a broken down car and no cell reception. She's discovered by Derrick, who offers her his cell, and some company, but starts to turn forceful once he realizes there's no one around to stop him from taking what he wants. Both Satine and Derrick are practiced rough players, and their chemistry is quite good—it also helps that they manage to stay in character (and, okay, maybe Satine's fantasy is our fantasy too).

But Satine is not alone in turning in a standout performance. Marie Luv and Julius Ceazher turn up the heat, acting out Marie's fantasy of getting caught cheating; Francesca Le (the film's sole femdom) makes hard working husband Christian take a break from the office and focus on his real boss; and Adrianna Nicole succumbs to the desires of intruder Marco Banderas.

And, of course, there's Sasha Grey. The final scene in the collection, Sasha's encounter with Danny Wylde is the least scripted, and seemingly the least fantasy-based (unless Sasha sits around fantasizing about negotiating with her partners and then having rough sex on a pool table). It's also the most real feeling: we can actually imagine that this is how Sasha has sex in real life. An initial discussion of likes and dislikes segues into very playful rough sex, with Danny and Sasha switching back and forth between domme and sub. There's no fancy set up or story line, but it doesn't matter: real, hot sex is really all we need.

Tristan Taormino has long been our go-to director for real hot porn exploring pornstars' real desires; it now seems that she'll similarly be our go-to director for real hot rough sex. A second volume of "Rough Sex" is already in the works; it should go without saying that we're counting down the days to its release.

In the summer popcorn blockbuster "House of Wicked" (this reviewer found it way more satisfying than "Terminator," "Wolverine," and "Star Trek"), each of the Wicked contract women (I feel they would be offended to be called girls) gets her own vignette and a couple of guys.

What's more, each of the vignettes features the performer in what we are led to assume is her own element - therefore no naughty nurses, babysitters, cheerleaders, or - God forbid - pirates. Instead director Brad Armstrong puts Wicked's moneymakers in a much more European setting befitting the company's porn chicks with gravitas image (except for Stormy; the darkest Wiucked performer of them all here plays a cowgirl. Go figure).

"House of Wicked" is known in porn parlance as a high-end gonzo, or wall-to-wall. That means the movie is all sex with limited setup and no dialogue. But that doesn't mean we don't get to know the stars' personalities.

Kirsten Price, for example, is a saucy student. She takes on a couple of dudes in what appears to be the classroom of her Rhodes fellowship. Then jessica drake has a foursome in a fetish den, Kaylani Lei plays to type (she takes one for the team here) as a tough Asian with a taste for motorcyclists, Alektra Blue plays a skatepunk girl, and then Mikayla Mendez shows up as a club vixen.

In each of these scenes there is no angle from which each precious Wicked performer looks less than stunning. In fact, the whole movie seems branded with Wicked iconography. Furthermore, if anyone is made to look a little like a prop in this movie it is the guys, who outnumber their female counterparts by almost two to one, and whose costumes look less believable (Tommy Gunn and Barrett Blade as sk8r dudes with sideways hats, etc., seems a little Chippendales to me).

Which makes me think that "House of Wicked" is a fantastic couples' movie. Each of the women is far more mature and glamorous than bubbleheaded and accessible, each appears to have the reins tightly in hand of who gets to take a poke at her, and that it is the girls who have the pick of the eye candy should make female fans reluctantly agree that there is twice as much for them to gawk at than their boyfriends.

The final scene features every woman (but Stormy, who was probably campaigning) in a civilized and elegant Sapphic hoedown, proving that, at the end of the day, they just wanted to be together.

Kayden Kross Looks Breathtaking In "Swing Time"

A title like "Swing Time" originally made us believe this Kayden Kross movie was either a Tiger Woods spoof or a period piece about dirty dancing. Instead, the Adam & Eve feature centers around key parties, which, coincidentally, are our favorite kind of parties.

Kayden Kross is joined by Kagney Linn Karter, Holly West, Angelina Valentine, Sativa Rose, and beautiful red daydream Dani Jensen (who's delightful, almost like a sexy young Lindsey Lohan—but without the psychotic lesbian DJ girlfriend or the cocaine halo. Did we mention that she has beautiful red hair? Yeah. She does. And, even better, she looks like she really enjoys the proper fucking that Derrick Pierce expertly gives her. There's a reason his friends call him the manwhore with a heart, because he really cares.)

Together, this diverse cast explores the illicit world of swinging, in a David Lord vehicle that's sure to capture hearts and genitals from coast to coast when it drops.

The plot centers around the urban myth that horny sailors in San Diego used to get together with their buddies' wives, each depositing their keys into a fishbowl, with the women fishing out a set and leaving with the owner. Sounds like good, clean, family fun if you ask us!

Kayden looks breathtaking with a cock in her mouth or buried balls deep up her hot pink bubble gum snatch. It's no surprise she's often referred to as too pretty for porn. Stunning barely seems to cover some of these shots.

"Swing Time" releases next Tuesday—but we spent an extraordinary amount of time collecting and cleaning this gallery for you, so take a gander. Dani is the red head, FYI.

Digital Playground's "Scream" series, in which its starlets find themselves in spooky, dirty situations, has found a perfect cover girl in Stoya, in that she looks like a sexy ghost.

Stoya reminds us that you can't say "Boobies" without first saying "Boo."

And it's a great idea. What better visceral combination than horror and sex? But "Scream" only hints at horror; it's real job is to get the likes of Stoya, Alexis Texas, and Madison Ivy naked. In that way, "Scream" is to horror movies what "Nurses" was to "ER."

Five scenes place Stoya and friends far enough out of harm's way that Digital Playground can never be accused of making snuff porn (not a drop of blood is shown) but fans of Girls in Danger have enough of a scary back story before the sexing happens.

Stoya appears in three scenes: the first finds Stoya and Alexis Texas watching a slasher movie, waiting for Stoya's boyfriend. He shows up, scares them briefly, and they all fuck seconds later. Scary!

She next appears in a new take on the classic "You couldn't have seen her; SHE'S BEEN DEAD FOR TWENTY YEARS" scenario, except this time Stoya has an interracial posthumous Sapphic interlude with Mahlia Milan. Scary!

Finally, she shares a kitchen scene with Evan Stone that makes me want to join her in her vegan lifestyle. What they did to a perfectly good steak was truly horrifying on many levels. Don't show this scene to someone who can only afford Ramen products.

Other standout performances include Carmella Santiago (I like to call her Carmella-toe Santiago in this movie), who inadvertently has sex on a bed under which rots a corpse, and Madison Ivy, who quite deliberately has sex on top of Tommy Gunn. Evan Stone returns with the Love Twins in probably the best utilization of their skills possible.

"Stoya: Scream" was not scary and at times seemed busily in love with its post-production to the detriment of the scenes.

But the movie was fun, Stoya was, as always, a delight to watch, game and never aloof of the performance. The only real crime was that she was forced to hold her own butt on the cover photo. She is a major star now: surely they could have found someone to do that for her.

Just Don't Call Stormy Daniels A “Whack Job”

Three Is The Magic Number In Tristan Taormino's Latest "Expert Guide"

We were a bit skeptical about the idea of an "expert guide" to threesomes. Unlike blowjobs or handjobs, good threesome technique isn't really something you can demonstrate—it's more a learn by doing type of thing.

But since we've been impressed by the previous installments of the Expert Guide series, we figured we'd give this one a shot. And, true to form, Tristan impressed us with her efforts. Rather than setting itself up as the end all, be all of threesomology, the "Expert Guide to Threesomes" acts more as a general guide to group sex.

In the educational intro, Tristan explains different threesome configurations, lays out some basic rules, and goes over different roadblocks and pitfalls encountered by couples looking to have a threesome. Your Day in Large Asses (er, for America)

I can't pretend that Vivid's "40 Inch Plus #8" is a monumental title. It is not, for example, a "Dirtpipe Milkshakes." For one thing, it is very easily confused with my own "8 Inch Plus #40" and Cat Stevens' "Catch Bull At Four." But it and its seven big-booty precursors have a twist: The asses are actually measured, on camera, with measuring tape! Not only that, but Claire Dames' own ass nearly busts out of her jeans as if controlled by tiny ass motors.

Another reason to get this movie is if you've ever confused the male performer Christian with the performer Derrick Pierce. Both bald white men are in the movie, so viewers can say "Oh that's Christian" and "I hope he didn't get hurt by Claire Dames' ass."

To its credit, "40 Inch Plus #8" is not one of those movies that looks like it's backstage at a Ludacris video. Asses are oiled and measured tastefully, and the few instances of deliberate booty-shaking are almost Presbyterian in their modesty, but not so slow that one can read the inscriptions of the performers' trampstamps.

This is what makes your urge to grab whole handfuls of ass that much more poignant, because you don't feel manipulated into the decision.

Wicked's "The Wicked"

You wonder why Wicked has waited so many years to release an eponymous title, but you also wonder why Kaylani Lei hasn't been delivered to you personally as part of the bailout package. Read on to discover why vampires seem to be devouring condom-only performers in the California Desert.

The Wicked

A couple fucks in a day-for-night desert as Wicked's vampire movie, The Wicked, opens. After putting on her clothes, she realizes she is alone. "Where are you?" she panics in the emptiness. "This isn't funny anymore!"

Well, who said it was ever funny? She is soon dispatched with, a 28 Days Later-style burst of screams, blood, growls, and an out of control camera. Wicked vampires!

As the opening credits roll past the unfortunate woman, we meet a Volkswagen Bus full of adventurers. Among them is Kaylani Lei, off to the desert for a weekend concert after finding her boyfriend in bed with a hooker (Jenny Hendrix). I don't know why she got so mad - doesn't she know that Jenny Hendrix is Good Times personified and no threat to Real Love?

Then we meet Baby and Otis (Stormy Daniels and Derrick Pierce), shifty types who've suffered a breakdown in the desert. Luckily our heroes happen by to pick them up, though only the driver (Barrett Blade) seems to think it's a good idea. Another passenger is Voodoo, a conspiracy buff cautious about weirdness in the desert. He is not taken seriously. In fact, the drive is so fraught with manufactured tension that we wonder why any of these people are friends.

Everyone is so nice to look at, though, that I guess it doesn't matter if they like each other.

The porn talent pool is so small, and the contract star system so limiting, that chemistry is hard to find, even in a population that has interfucked so often. One thing going for The Wicked is Blade's and Voodoo's chemistry with Lei, Tori Black, Scarlett Fay, and the other females in the cast. And, when they're allowed, Daniels and Pierce find room for "character" work.

Chemistry or no, the gang is edgy after a long drive, and strange things are happening in the middle of nowhere. Worse still, only Daniels' and Pierce's sex scene is filmed in natural light; everything else shows up in cold blue or red. This can only detract from excellent scenes between Voodoo and Fay and Blade and Lei.

In her motel bed, Kaylani dreams of being ravished by vampires in the desert (including Sophia Santi). Then she goes to a strip club with her pals and lets loose. Oddly enough, some of the characters from her dream show up as strippers! You wouldn't expect to find such high quality strippers in such a remote location, either.

There's other odd things going on in Desert City. Regardless, Kaylani and Barrett get over their friction and learn to love each other. Napping in the car, however, Kaylani again dreams of the vampires. Voodoo gets more agitated and, once the crew arrives at the concert, the stage is set for a bloodbath, as the vampires show up en masse for their solstice feast.

But it isn't scary. Shouldn't it be? Maybe the market suggests otherwise.

Since Wicked makes so many gauzily competent movies that seem to avoid actual inspiration, I wonder if sales figures indicate that being too good or too edgy or - in the case of a vampire movie - too scary might hurt business.

The Wicked's twist ending attests to the fact that a movie with great production values and a competent yet derivative script is Wicked's way of suggesting mainstream movies without actually ripping them off, a la Pirates. But what's the matter with an outright porn ripoff if it's good? The Wicked is a good porn movie but the vehicle of its story - the horror! - falls flat. I think it's the condom policy.
