It's nothing short of brilliant, with its increasingly harder and harder scenes progressively building to all out gang bang. Our only concern is that we seem to be growing desensitized to it all. If he keeps giving us this kind of amazing goodness, how will we ever watch normal porn again?

How else to explain the down right trippy feel of "The Joanna Angel Magical Threesome Adventure Experience" (or at least its box cover)? Okay, we suppose it could have more to do with Joanna's intoxication at having threesome after threesome after threesome (boy-girl-girl! girl-boy-girl! girl-girl-boy!), and getting her hands on all the cock and pussy she can manage... but we'd still like to imagine that there's at least a little bit of historical homage in there too.

"She Is Half My Age" is one of my favorite series because it makes clear either the outright joy or the nagging self doubt - sometimes both - of knowing the person you are paying for sex looks at your Whitesnake collection half as ironically as you do.

In this eighth installment, however (filmed primarily in the Czech Republic), we are mostly left to assume the women are half the age of the men - like in most porn movies - instead of having the age difference demonstrated in charming/harrowing skits such as the ones that charactereized earlier iterations. This could be due to a language barrier.

But Steve Holmes makes up for this. Holmes, a veteran porn dude from Europe, is a whimsical satyr. He takes such pleasure in his work that we can even forgive him when he's lazy (Director Iron and Holmes are looking at a porn modeling agency's website and Iron accuses Holmes of "ordering women like they're pizza").

And the women, too, are great fun, especially Rossi, Natalli D'Angelo, and the pixieish Angelin Crow.

Because this installment of "She Is Half My Age" was filmed in Europe, we lose the significance of the title. Everyone seems so much more blase about the age difference. It is merely a good vignette porn movie without the context, save for that provided by the fact that the cast is in Prague and not in some sun-blighted Chatsworth warehouse.

But what really sells this episode is the fun most of the cast seems to be having, no matter how old they are.

Forget for a moment that, if Belladonna had actually been your college roommate, you would have found some way to stay in school and not work in your family's quarry. Forget, too, that the idea of Belladonna trying to convince us that, just by putting her hair in pigtails she is a virgin, is absurd. Instead, try to imagine yourself as the amiable Daniel as Belladonna and Texas descend on you for your blowjob advice ("It's a process," he says).

Belladonna and Texas make a stackable IKEA-like structure of themselves within minutes, causing the viewer to wonder if they haven't, in fact, done this before.

Nina Hartley narrates much of this movie as an older Texas, much like Jeanne Moreau in "The Lover" but with fewer Chinese. Here we recollect Texas' taking by "two hot studs."

Then Bella and Alexis suit up to expose themselves piece by piece. I imagine this is how the Sleestaks will look in the "Land of the Lost" remake.

Steve Holmes, whom last we saw being happily smothered by two large ladies, is surprised at the Universal City Metro Station by an admirer. Excellent guerilla filmmaking here.

Finally, we meet Hartley as the grown-up Texas. "I love myself," she says, "and everybody better goddamn love me."

While we would let Belladonna (and Nina Hartley) get away with anything, seeing Hartley at the end calls into question the modern subway and the moon suits of previous scenes. What has happened to Time?

But Mz. Buttaworth is holding out; the first obvious thing is off limits.
