But that's just a side project to the more important task of making the freak bots. Even scientists have to have priorities, you know.

There seems to be a renewed interest lately in the big-breasted sexploitation films of the '50s and '60s, and we're going to go ahead and give all the credit to our own weekly feature. There's even been talk that Quentin Tarantino plans to follow up his "Grindhouse" nonsense with a remake of "Faster Pussycat Kill Kill" starring Tera Patrick (!)—but it appears that some other Russ Meyer fan has beaten him to the punch. Take a look at the trailer for the subtly-named "Bitch Slap," a brand new sexploitation homage that is sure to make an excellent stocking stuffer when the holidays roll around this year, and you'll see what we mean. For this week's clip we take a dip back into the Russ Meyer catalog for a movie that we think artfully demonstrates the skill and vision that made him such a great director. The teaser is a little long, but it does provide a tidy synopsis of the entire story and all the characters, so you really do come to understand the themes and symbolism of the film as a whole. However, if you look beneath the surface and carefully examine the subtext, you can get an even deeper sense of the true message of this saga: It's about boobs. Lots and lots of giant boobs. The man was subtle, but trust us, it's there.

In fact, it doesn't even pretend that there's a story to be told at all. This trailer simply levels with you: you want to see crazy swingers having sex under a background of smooth jazz, and that's exactly what you're going to get. It's refreshing, even if that kind of honestly isn't nearly as .... shocking!

That's a true story! Here's the documentary proof to show that no organized crime syndicate is a match for a fiesty band of hookers who know how to talk tough and shoot a gun. (It's also Chapter 5 of this book.) By the way, people love to complain that there is too much nudity and violence in the movies—but have you noticed that no one ever complains about "nude violence"? The more, the better as far as we're concerned.

Besides, even the narrator can't decide if the romance takes place in the shadow of a dream or its twilight. (We make that mistake a lot.) Other than that, it's pretty typical fare—you know, white slavery, crazed lesbian sex fiends, violent bludgeonings, incest ... the usual. Oh, and one other thing: this film is apparently not for children! It's good thing they said something because we totally looking for something to watch with our nephews this weekend, especially now that "Hannah Montana" is a little too racy for her own good.

Of course you already know that Ed Wood is best known as the master director of classic sci-fi and sexual horror flicks, like "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and "Necromania." (No, we don't have any copies left.) But did you know he was also a novelist? Yes, he penned the classic "boy meets girl, boy takes girl to graveyard in the middle of the night, boy and girl are sadistically tortured by the dancing undead slaves of the Ruler of the Dark" love story, also known as "Orgy of the Dead." Naturally, his screenplay was turned into a movie where Ed's mixture of high camp, big bosomed lady vamps, and awesome fight scenes could be better appreciated. Check out this scene where the tension is so thick you could cut it like a rubber kitchen knife cuts bra straps.

We don't know how many young women have been living boring chaste lives until this dude materialized out of the vapor, gave her a goofy look, and then ... voila! Instant slut. Just for the record, we totally believe that the wild and dangerous sexual dynamo portrayed in this film was a real person, because we think she may have lived in our dorm building in college. Unnatural passion? Check. Depraved hunger? Sure. A crazed female animal on the prowl? You bet. Makes the flames of hell look like mere burning embers? On the second thought, it probably wasn't the same girl. We think we would have remembered that flames of hell thing.

Consider if you will the great lovers of history: Don Juan. Casanova. Ralph Higbee? The guy certainly doesn't look like he belongs in their company, but the film evidence doesn't lie. Would a "square" marry not one, but three hippies (one of whom may or may not be named George) and stab romantic rivals with a fencing sword? Of course, a real ladies' man probably wouldn't get married at all, but who are we to argue with such an obvious master?

Plus, real live libertines may be rare in these parts, but we hear Paris is simply crawling with them.

Because we are so youthful and vibrant we can't actually recall the Swinging Sixties, when freaks and hippies fought the Battle of Woodstock against an army of squares (according to what our history teacher told us once.) That's why we get such a kick out of clips from old movies that show us what life was like back before the sexual revolution gave everyone a case of mono. We like them so much that we've asked Spike from Bedazzled.tv to supply us with a weekly dose of fresh meat from archives of film history. This week "The Weird Lovemakers" (we hear they do "everything") take on polite society just for a few cheap thrills. How weird, right?

Worlds Collide: "Fanny Hill Meets Dr. Erotico"

They don't make movie franchises like they used to. Sure, you still get your "Spider-man 3" and your "Saw IV," but we prefer the classic serials of yore, when lovable, but seemingly incongruous characters would be thrown together and madcap hijinks would ensue—like when Abbott and Costello met The Mummy or when the Scooby-Doo took on the Harlem Globetrotters. And who could forget when Fanny Hill met Dr. Erotico?

We'd never heard of Dr. Erotico, though Fanny Hill had quite a long series of sexual encounters in the 1960s (started by Russ Meyer, of course, all based on the 18th century erotic classic). As for the not-so-good doctor, well ... there's nothing much erotic about his marauding unread monster, but then again, all we have to go on is this trailer courtesy of our friends at Bedazzled. We're not even 100% sure Fanny and the doctor are in the same movie, or if someone just took a Frankenstein ripoff and a one-reel stag film and edited them together to make it look like one cohesive story. She's no Malabimba, but that Fanny sure causes a lot of trouble. Especially for a chick who's pushing 240 years old.

"Malabimba" Really Is A Malicious Whore!

It's not often that we get excited enough about the DVD release of a forgotten 70's sexploitation vehicle to post about it twice in one week (in fact, this might be the first time it's ever happened), but enough of us here at Fleshbot Central were obsessing so much about that trailer for the soon-to-be classic "Malabimba - The Malicious Whore" that the distributor was kind enough to share another clip from the film to show us just how truly malicious (and whorish!) that Malabimba really is. Watch in amazement as Malabimba out-taboos "Taboo" and shows her papa what being daddy's little girl is really all about. Trust us, it's not as creepy as it sounds. (OK, maybe it's sort of really creepy. But what else would you expect from a malicious whore anyway?)
