The disclaimer on the home of New Phoenix Filmworks clearly states, "this is NOT an adult website," and it's true that their movies - including "RetroGirl," "PowerCat" and others - are not technically pornography. However, when you make films centered on curvy babes fighting crime in skintight latex outfits, you know somebody's getting off on it. You won't find such modesty from Super Becca, another entry in the homemade superhero genre that brings fantasy roleplaying and a love of comics books to life. (Light bondage too, as most of these stories seem to involve our heroes getting tied up by some dastardly villain.) There's a certain low-budget charm to the adventures of these caped crusaders, and while some may be more up front about their erotica qualities than others, it just goes to show that when it comes to escapist fantasies the viewer sees what they want to see. We see ourselves digging those Wonder Woman comics out of the attic later. How about you?

Just when we were priding ourselves on finally being able to tell our MMOGs from our MMORPGs, along comes a recent post at the geektacularly entertaining gaming blog MMOrgy heralding the advent of MMOVSGs, or Massively Multiplayer Online Virtual Sex Games: "So, what will MMOVSGs bring us that we can't currently get with other worlds? Why should we throw down even more hard earned money when we can just watch a Dark Elf gyrate for a while and then go level grind some more? ... GamesFirst! publishes a two part feature on Sociolotron, the MMORPG we first posted about earlier this year and which recently marked its final release, including first-hand accounts by some of its players on what it's like to be a virtual BDSM demon or a London streetwalker in a chain mail miniskirt and thoughts by its developer, Patric Lagny: "Not only is prostitution a skill, but 'urges' such as sado, maso and exhib might compel your toon to involuntary behaviors or outbursts. Likewise, moral uprightness is a quality that must be altered in order to achieve specific goals, such as becoming a demon overlord or a high priestess in the Cult of the Succubi."
