Yahoo came up with an idea which we hadn't considered before ... and don't particularly want to, either. Guess we'll just stick with that FTD floral bouquet after all, thank you. <![CDATA[Do You Yahoo Naked? Not Anymore.]]> Yahoo! has sent a warning to its users with "adult" profiles telling them that they can't have adult profiles any more and that all "mature content" will be deleted from the site, meaning the end of porn, adult dating, and any other Yahoo group even remotely related to boobies or peen. Frankly, we didn't even know people still used Yahoo profiles, but we can sympathize with the outrage anyway! (jeffschult.com)

<![CDATA[ Keeping the kids away from the porn is hard...]]> Keeping the kids away from the porn is hard work, but somebody has to do it; the question is who? Vivid's Steven Hirsch wants to see Google and Yahoo take an aggressive stand and develop new technologies to verify the ages of people searching for online porn. Because we all know there has to be a foolproof way to keep horny adolescents from accessing RustyTrombone.com. Er, isn't there? (afp.google.com)

<![CDATA[Gail Orenstein Will Not Be Silenced]]>

Ever since Flickr was acquired by Yahoo! a while back, we've been holding our breath in anticipation of a flood of draconian account deletions and filtering headaches a la YouTube to keep the site squeaky-clean for the boobiephobic masses. So far, the situation hasn't been as completely dire as we would have thought; there's still a respectable amount of sexy content on the site if you know where to look. Still, every now and then the work of one member gets taken to task for a too-generous expanse of naked flesh—which seems to be the case with UK photojournalist Gail Orenstein, who found her entire photostream-cum-news portal unceremoniously axed by the Powers That Be this week without warning or explanation. Undettered, she went straight to her archives and opened up a brand new account, which we hope sticks around for a while this time—after all, naked boobs, like information, deserve to be free. (Though given that we're not exactly helping her stay under the radar by directing your attention to it here, maybe we shouldn't hold our breath about that happening either.)
