In her latest column at SFGate.com, Fleshbot gal Friday Violet Blue explores the wild world of human pet fetishism and roleplay, where things like leather collars and studded leashes aren't just kinky Hot Topic-esque fashion accessories—they're neccessary training implements for keeping your resident puppygirl or ponyboy in from misbehaving: "In animal training, a person is transformed into an animal version of themselves and trained, punished, displayed, groomed, 'bred' or sexually played with, outfitted with costumes and gear—and much more. Over all, it's an advanced form of role-play that may or may not be taken very seriously by the people involved." Whether you think it's a form of harmless fantasy play or the ultimate in degradation is, of course, a matter of opinion, but one thing's for sure: at least with a human pet you'll never have to worry about them piddling all over your expensive Turkish carpets or chewing up your new pair of Jimmy Choos. (Or maybe you do; since our own pet owning experience is limited to the occasional SPCA stray and the gerbils which run our servers, we don't really know just how far these fantasies go sometimes.)
