Beware Of "The Beast In Space!"

In 1975, European movie audiences were enthralled by "The Beast," an erotic horror film about a young woman ravished by a mysterious cloven footed manimal. Then a few years later, "Star Wars" came out and someone had the genius-level brainstorm, "What if The Beast ... was in space?" That's how you end up with this sci-fi erotic adventure, just re-released on DVD by Severin Films (the fine folks who brought you "Malabimba" and "The Sister of Ursula.") "The Sister Of Ursula": And You Thought Malabimba Was Bad?

Don't let that ritzy Mediterranean seaside resort setting and swinging theme music ("Looooooooooooooooove!") fool you: Ursula's sister is every bit as bad to the bone as a certain other of her sisters in sleaze that we introduced you to a while back. Unfortunately, we've watched the trailer for Severin Films' new DVD release of the 1978 giallo cinema classic "The Sister Of Ursula" about a dozen times and we still can't figure out who she is. Is she the masturbating brunette who pulls a sparkly silver chain out of her pussy? The one whose lover gets his throat slit during a hayloft rendezvous? Or the blonde who does a naked go-go dance in the mirror and winds up on her knees before a mysterious stranger? (Or are those even three different actresses?) Guess we'll just have to watch the whole movie to find out. Good thing the trailer left out the whole subplot about the "psychotic killer who tears women to pieces with a phallus of massive proportions" like it says in the press release. Then we'd really be confused.
