Did Marilyn Jess Make "The Arrangement" For Incest?

As freaky as we are at Fleshbot, there are some things we're just not down with, and this 1981 French flick definitely approaches some uncomfortable areas. In a vein similar to the "Taboo" series, "The Arrangement" deals with the revenge-cum-Electra complex of Elisa (Marilyn Jess), a young spoiled model who resents her father's girlfriend/maid. She concocts a scheme to prevent her father from marrying the girl, but first she needs help.

With the assistance of Colette, her best friend and look-alike, Elisa sleeps with photographers and bodybuilders, and plans a swinger's party at some fancy pad. The father, the girlfriend, and the secretary (who is also banging dad) all show up to the party and fool around with each other, until a mysterious woman in an afro and sunglasses appears and fucks everyone. The photographer blows her cover saying "No, Elisa! Don't do that to your father!" and the girl runs away. Later, we see Elisa talking to Colette about how everything was ruined, but it's still unclear who seduced daddy.

So how is incest supposed to derail a relationship? Besides the obvious taboo, we can't really tell. Dad's girlfriend doesn't seem to know, as she was missing from the crucial scene of enlightenment. Maybe Elisa was using the situation at home to justify her unnatural lust, or maybe she's an ineffective prankster.

If potential/suggested incest isn't your thing, don't worry, there's plenty of legit vanilla sex in "The Arrangement." It's just as raunchy, dubbed, and full of pubes as you'd expect from VHS porn. My personal favorite scene involves the maid and the dad and a vacuum cleaner. They probably shouldn't use a vortex of plastic to imitate oral sex, but they do anyway. A magnifying glass, apple core, and pool raft also make guest appearances in the list of impromptu sex toys.

This movie offers much, but doesn't fully deliver. If you're looking for a straightforward fuck, you'll find your arousal mired in complicated plot. If you're looking for something to generate incest fantasies (because we're not here to judge), you'll probably be disappointed. Watch "The Arrangement" if you have a thing for Marilyn Jess and bizarre retrofap.

All In The Family: Taro Shinonome's "Swing Out Sisters"

In just about every porn video that's attempted to address the subject, you're acutely aware that you're watching actors, that the bed they're banging on is just a part of the set that they're on, and that whatever brother/sister roles the actors might be playing are inherently fake. But when you move into comics, it all becomes real. You're no longer dealing with actors or sets – the manga (Japanese comic) becomes its own contained universe, where these people, their feelings, and the situations become real. This is why I love hentai, what we've come to know as Japanese “cartoon porn.”

So this week, I'd like to introduce you to one series that I love: Taro Shinonome's "Swing Out Sisters". (Ed. note: No relation to the fondly remembered 80s sophisti-pop group of the same name. But you probably figured that out already.)

"Swing Out Sisters" follows Yuuta as he's trapped between the competing lust of his two older sisters. Whether it's in the bath, while taking a test, or as soon as he's gotten home, Yuuta is never safe from the perverted desires of his siblings

The elder of the two, Chiyoko, is the one seducing Yuuta, They end up having sex at just about every opportunity, and it doesn't matter what the risk is – their passion is too great. But one night, Chinatsu, the other sister, finds out about it. And from there, there's a bit of a rivalry between the sisters for who can dominate Yuuta's time and semen ... until, of course, they learn to share.

Just like some of you were with your first love, so it is Yuuta and his sisters: they all profess their strong love for each other, the bonds of which are strengthened by their devious passion. When you were a love-struck young adult you might have even dreamt of marrying the object of your affection, unable to comprehend what your life would be like without the other. But what an impossible path that is for Yuuta and Chiyoko and Chinatsu—in the end, they're still brother and sister(s).

Shinonome's art style captures those feelings wonderfully. Each page is full of the kind of sweat and passion that drenches a couple after they've been at it hours. Sure, the amount of semen and other assorted fluids might be a bit exaggerated—but within the context of the story, you come to accept it. And isn't hentai all about exaggeration anyway?

Even with the subtitles, we're having a hard time figuring out why exactly Penelope Cruz and her sister start making out with each other at around the four minute and twenty second mark in the video for their brother's new single. (Unless they're trying to tell us that dubbing porn films into Spanish for a living is the sort of thing that automatically leads to incest ... but you'll have to sit through the other four minutes and nineteen seconds of the video to figure that out for yourself.)
