The first stop is Catalina Island with a pre-pregnancy Paulina James and a pre-arrest Jack Venice. Reeking of alcohol, they are denied a bike rental. Somehow they are allowed golf carts. They make their way to the west side of the island and engage in some clifftop action against the overcast Pacific sky.

Back in L.A., Casey picks up Devon for a beachside romp. They race like blonde gazelles across the sand, if that's what gazelles do, and if gazelles can be blonde. Then they retreat to a bedroom where they compare tattoos.

"You have such a spankable ass, dude," declares Devon.

Next, it's off to wine country. Parker explains how raisins are made, then declares that she hates raisins.

The blonder the partner, the better the scene. Parker meets Aubrey Addams in Napa and they repair to a hotel room (the initial promise of the outdoor scene with Paulina James fades as each vignette starts outside but ducks for cover pretty quickly; still, the effort is appreciated).

In San Francisco, Parker poses for pictures on a trolley. That she is so adorable and the guys she picks up are so lunky by comparison must appeal to the college audiences Shane's World caters to in the same way that Ron Jeremy is often held up as the hero of the average American male.

Finally home (Parker did not get laid in San Francisco, she says, though Reena Sky did), Parker hooks up with Charles Dera for a scene with real chemistry.

Shane's World tries hard to maintain a reality-based road trip atmosphere in its movies, and the very personable and engaging Parker is able to pull this off where others might not be able to carry the movie. We like that she finally gets what she wants in the end.

"Canoga Park"'s American Insertion Pictures may make cheesy cable porn, but we can guarantee you there is more money in the effects budget of this parody than there will be in 75 percent of next week's AVN nominees.

Depicting porn personnel as lovable, winning, and bright-eyed, all this fantasy lacked was a wacky space monkey to cement the lie. If this were the real Canoga Park, every joke would have been punctuated by a coke-fueled gangbang at the De Soto 7-11's jerky and Slurpee aisle.

Zippy dialogue, jiggling, a script, and strong production values characterize this whitewashing of the Jewel of Porn Valley. But would you expect Playboy to have its finger on the pulse if its studio is in Glendale?

Erotica L.A. returns to the L.A. Convention Center this weekend for three days of my using it as an excuse to walk up the street and eat chicken fried steak at The Pantry. In addition, this year's iteration of the long-running consumer/porn star meet and greet features the 2nd annual F.A.M.E. Awards as well as a traveling version of Cirque du Soleil's ultra-bendy and nippletastic "Zumanity". The gang from John Stagliano's porn film-turned-Vegas show "Fashionistas" will be there, as will porn stars and their entourages, such as Belladonna, Tera Patrick, Jenna Jameson, the delightful Casey Parker, and dozens of others. Each will either be signing at booths, roaming freely, or eating chicken fried steak on Gawker Media's goddamn dime. The delightful Casey Parker (seen here gavoreeting amongst California's pioneers), will appear on the Tyra Banks show May 17 to discuss what, exactly, fraternity members enjoy about porn. Parker, whose own adult career started as a Colorado college student posing for a roommate, said that she hadn't seen the edited version of the Tyra interview, which carried the logline "What happens when college students start taking off their clothes instead of doing their homework?"

Our Miss Parker herself is still a college student and we worry, as a (slightly) older brother might, that the unhinged Tyra might sabotage poor Casey in post. We know for a fact that Casey always turned down our offers to go get naked because she had homework to do. - GP
